2 EXTRA! EXTRA!! The Character Trait for the Month of October is Responsibility.! It is time for parent/teacher conferences. We want all of our parents to spend a little quality time with their teacher(s) this year, so make sure to look for the SignUpGenius coming through your this year. Several parents found this in their Spam folder, so you may want to check for this.! Costume Parade and Parties, Friday October 23 10:45 Costume Parade starts with 6 th grade (outside) *parents stand on sidewalk by K class 11:15 Back to class/lunch 12:45-1:15 Halloween Parties-check with your teacher on party times 1:15 Early Release 5:30-7:30 Monster Mash! Halloween Costume Drive: Girl Scout Troop 687 is collecting new or gently used Halloween costumes. These will be donated to Boise children in need. Costumes will be collected in the orange bin in the front lobby. Each donation will be entered into a drawing so be sure to get your name on the candy corn poster!! Parking: Our neighbors would like to remind folks that they need access to their driveways at all times throughout the school day. If you are parked or waiting in an area that blocks them from getting in or out; they would like for you to find another spot.! Mayor s Challenge: Keep it up! We are doing really well with our miles for the Mayor s Challenge miles per student! Botanical Garden field trips really boosted our mileage!! Roosevelt Health Office wants a wheelchair to use as needed for injured students. If you have one you no longer need, please consider letting us have it. Thank you so much!! Please continue to send any photos you may have taken this year to Misty Schultz so they can be used for the yearbook. There are lots of holiday festivities ahead so please keep the yearbook in mind as you are taking photos that are Roosevelt related. The yearbook cannot be completed without the help of parents taking and submitting photos. Don't forget to include grade(s) and/or event with the photos. Thanks so much for your help! mrsmschultz@gmail.com. 2
