1 MCYC channel chatter A monthly publication of Multnomah Channel Yacht Club December 2015 The Friendliest Club on the River Since Dike Road Scappoose Oregon Commodore Mike White Commodore s Comments What a great finish for the year. We have a number of new members onboard that are anxious to boat and interact with us at the club. Welcome to you all. During the year MCYC had a clean sweep of CRYA events. A slam dunk on Opening Day. The winning team for the Inaugural CRYA Golf Tournament was MCYC. And of course MCYC placed highly at Closing Day. The Civil War Party was a success, over 70 points scored and not all by one team! Great Job by the Hales, Giacherio s, Senz and Karpeles. The Annual Meeting is on the 11 th and is always a good time. Christmas Ships right after that. I will save my Thank You s for 2015 Flag Officers, Board Members and Committee Chairs for the meeting. To the entire MCYC Membership, Thank You MCYC members for your support during my third term as Commodore of MCYC. As always, Teri and I hope to see you at the club or on the channel. PCX2CC Mike First Lady Teri White I cannot believe Christmas is right around the corner and 2015 is almost in the books. It has been a year of the distinct seasons of life and reminds us of how precious each and everyday truly is. Thank you all so much for your friendship and support. As we head into this New Year I am excited to get to know our new members, spending time just hanging out and cruising a lot more. Thank you all for your commitment, and all you do. First Lady 2015 Teri White Editor s Note Important Notice The December General Meeting Has Been Changed to Friday Dec. 11. Page One Mary and I would like to thank all of the MCYC members for their support and kind comments in regards to the Channel Chatter. We really enjoy doing it. Thanks so much! Jim Donaldson
