4 Agenda Bites (recurring e-news feature) Did you know that in your student s agenda (provided by Haun PTA to 3 rd 5 th graders), the first eight pages contain answers to commonly asked questions about district and Haun policy? STAAR TEST STAAR testing is an important part of Haun s assessment program. Children in grades 3-5 should get a good night s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast to prepare for STAAR. No volunteers are allowed on campus during STAAR testing. Please note your grade level s STAAR testing calendar and schedule appointments around STAAR time. The School Year STAAR testing dates April 9th STAAR writing for 4th grade April 9th---STAAR math for 5th grade April 10th STAAR reading for 5th grade Make-ups for reading and math (5th) April 11th and 12th May 13th STAAR math for 3rd and 4th May 14th STAAR reading for 3rd and 4th May 15th STAAR science for 5th Make-ups for math, reading and science (3rd, 4th and 5th) May 16th and 17th

We understand that everyone makes mistakes, we stand up for ourselves and others, and when someone asks us to stop, we stop. In our classroom and school, we do not stand by when someone is being picked on. We help each other. This is who we are even when no one is watching. The Safety Patrol Team help keep arrival and dismissal quick, easy, and safe for all students; therefore, each team member is expect to honor his/her commitment in the following ways: Arrive at school by 7:20 a.m. ready for duty Enter through the doors by the gym Take his/her backpack to the classroom Sign-in in the Front Office Report outside for duty After school, be on post until 3:05 p.m. Complete the whole semester

9 Join us for the Rock Hop! Friday, February 6:30-8:30pm Come join us for a family evening of fun at the Rock Hop! We will have dancing, treats, games, and raffles. All of the profits for this fun annual event go directly back to Haun Elementary. So come, have fun and raise money for our school! Tickets On Sale NOW! Each person attending the Rock Hop must have an Admission Ticket. Game/Raffle Tickets are used to play games, buy photo buttons, purchase food and bid on baskets. NEW: All PTA Member families will receive 3 FREE Admission Tickets ($18 value)! You must still order your free tickets ONLINE in order to be admitted to the event. The $10 PTA Membership purchase must be completed before you will be able to view your free ticket option. Join PTA NEW: We will be charging raffle tickets for food and drinks this year!
