5 HTHS is proud to announce that we have two AWESOME students chosen to represent our school at the Birmingham Youth Leadership Forum for the school year. This is an extraordinary leadership program and an honor for the students. This year s class has 46 students representing 33 Birmingham area high schools!!! The students are: Kaitlin Silverwood- Junior and Jalen Williams- Junior Paine Intermediate GaTE students were treated to a culinary experience by Chef Calvert. He used vegetables grown in the garden to make a corn and sweet potato succotash! THANK YOU PAINE STUDENTS! Paine Campus students donated $ in silver for the Stars and Stripes to fly at the new HT Stadium! That is enough to purchase a large flag and help with the cost of illuminating the flag for nighttime events. Thank you Paine Campus students for showing your patriotism and your Husky spirit!

The HTHS Scholars Bowl team had a good showing at the Hoover Invitational. Our novice team went 8-3 in the tournament, which is a great showing for those students competing in their first tournament.

I am proud of the group today and their willingness to compete! November 6-8, administrators and teachers from HTMS participated in the Annual Conference for Middle Level Education in Nashville, TN.

SPONSORED BY THE TRUSSVILLE HISTORICAL SOCIETY The Everything Christmas Arts and Craft show will be November 14 th from 9am-9pm and November 15 th from 9am-4pm at the Trussville Civic Center.

8 5th grade students participated in a presentation by a guest speaker who gave fascinating information about the weather! The guest speaker's presentation correlates with the weather science unit that students are engaged in! EVERYTHING CHRISTMAS. SPONSORED BY THE TRUSSVILLE HISTORICAL SOCIETY The Everything Christmas Arts and Craft show will be November 14 th from 9am-9pm and November 15 th from 9am-4pm at the Trussville Civic Center. Admission is FREE. The Trussville Fire Department will be collecting new, unwrapped gifts for their Christmas for Kids program and will be offering free hot chocolate and cookies to the children visiting Santa. Santa will be there for pictures on Saturday from 10am-2pm. There will be over 70 vendors selling everything you need for your Christmas shopping list. Chocolate Biscuit will be there selling a delicious box lunch with your choice of chicken salad or pimento cheese and the Barbecue Stop will be there with their scrumptious pork or chicken barbecue sandwiches for dinner. There will be live entertainment throughout both days from local schools, churches and individuals. Cakes by Sheri will be there offering decorated cakes, pumpkin rolls, cheesecakes and much more. This is a great way to kick off your holiday season so mark your calendars and come to see us!
