2 PAGE 1 PAYMENTS FOR HEART OF ENGLAND COMPETITION Event on Saturday 10 th and Sunday 11 th February 2018 Genting Arena, Birmingham All fees to include spectator tickets, souvenir medals and crossover fees for the Heart of England competition are due by Saturday 7 th October. We strongly advise to purchase your spectator tickets with us as some events have been known to sell out. 19 Crossover fees for each extra cheer and dance entry 20 Adults 10 Child (age 5 11) Free Under Souvenir medal (if required) Your final payments due can be found on Heart of England final payments in the balance owed column (noted in red). Payments MUST be sent with cash in a labelled envelope by SATURDAY 7 TH OCTOBER To help with the administration of these fees, please place the correct change in the envelope otherwise any change will be donated to the cheer fund. Also, any late payments will incur a 5 late fee per team entry. We will be collecting spectator tickets and crossover fees for the Legacy competition by Saturday 4 th November (to be held at Barclaycard Arena on Saturday 24 th & Sunday 25 th March 2018). SEPTEMBER ORDERS - TRAINING KIT I will be placing an order for training kit on Monday 2 nd October therefore orders forms with payment should be received by Saturday 30 th September. The next order for the new training kit will be placed on Monday 6 th November, therefore orders must be placed by Saturday 4 th November. This will be the final order for We will also be arranging spectator T-shirts for this season which will be available to order by the end of October (please see below re: use of the SA brand name). UNIFORM FOR TRAINING Athletes and dancers MUST wear SA training kit for team training, no other kit will be allowed. You can however, wear kit other than SA attire for your gym training. Also, members from dance teams may wear other suitable clothing for ballet but MUST wear SA uniform for choreography class. Any cheerleaders or dancers who do not wear the correct kit this season will be given extra conditioning during class. USE OF THE SA BRAND NAME Can I please remind you that use of the SA branding is not to be used by individuals on clothing or other items that are not purchased direct from the academy. We kindly request, that you seek consent from the directors before designing any items that will use the SA logo or branding.

3 PAGE 2 FUND RAISING - SUPREME We are very proud to announce that we will be taking our senior jazz team to Dance Worlds again in April next year. This amazing team has always placed in the top 10 and this year we are striving for even better results. We will be undertaking some fund raising for this team to help with their costs for travel and accommodation whilst in Florida. We will be kicking this off by collecting all your old clothes and shoes which will be donated to cash for clothes or sold on ebay. To avoid a large number of clothes bags arriving at the same time, could we please ask that you send items in the following order :- Youth and Junior athletes - October Senior athletes and parents - November ANNIVERSARY CHRISTMAS PARTY SUNDAY 10 TH DECEMBER As this is our 20 th anniversary for the Academy, we have arranged an after-show/ Christmas party to be held at :- THE DUDLEY ARMS Wolverhampton Road Dudley This will commence at 6pm giving everyone time to glam up after the final performance at Dormston Theatre on the Sunday afternoon. Tickets will be available at 13 adults and 9 children age 8 and under, to include a hot buffet and disco. Tickets for this event will be on sale from SATURDAY 30 TH SEPTEMBER (limited tickets available). CLOSURE DATES FOR 2018 February 2018 The Academy will be closed from Tuesday 20 th to 27 th February 2018 due to attending NCA Nationals in Texas with our travel team SA Reign. All classes will return as normal from Wednesday 28 th February. April The Academy will be closed from Friday 20 th April to Friday 4 th May due to attending Dance Worlds in Florida with our Senior Jazz team SA Supreme. All classes will return as normal from Saturday 5 th May. PLEASE NOTE: The commitment forms have been updated online to show these new closure dates for next April/May (start of spring/summer season)

4 PAGE 3 TRAINING FOR NATIONALS 2018 Training for Nationals will require full attendance from March 2018 and absences will NOT be allowed from team training during June Also, anyone who requests more than one absence will not be allowed to compete at Nationals next year and in most cases, full attendance will be required. Please consider this when arranging any plans for next year as this will be a strict rule with no exceptions (including time off for any school residential trips). The commitment dates for spring/summer training will be available to view in the next few weeks. PRIVATE LESSONS If you are interested in private lessons for gym or dance with one of our qualified coaches, please to check availability saacademy@hotmail.co.uk. Payments of 25 per hour will be required in advance to secure your lesson which are available 4 5pm on weekdays. GYM GRADING The next gym grading will take place at the end of October. Athletes will be notified a few weeks before if they are ready to take their grading at this point. NO SMOKING POLICY Could we please ask that you respect our children and DO NOT SMOKE on our premises. This includes any area on the car park and in particular the area s close to the main entrance and shutter doors. Thank you for your co-operation. QUERIES OR CONCERNS If you have any questions or concerns, please send an and we will reply as soon as possible. Please avoid approaching coaches during training times or Sharon on reception, as we are not available during these times to answer your concerns in full. SCHOOLS PROGRAMME - WOULD YOU LIKE US TO BRING SA ACADEMY TO YOUR SCHOOL?? We are introducing our schools programme this season and would love to come and work with your school. We need to collect contacts for each school, therefore would be grateful if you could approach your school on our behalf. If they would like our coaches to work at your school, please forward our contact details or pass on the contact details to us so we can approach your school. This would be an amazing opportunity to reach out to so many other students who have never experienced our wonderful sport.

5 PAGE 4 FUTURE DATES I have put together some dates for 2018 to keep in mind when booking holidays or other events. Try-outs Showcase Awards Evening From Tuesday 10 th July to Saturday 14 th July Sunday 17 th June (all competitors attending nationals MUST attend this event) Sunday 15 th July TEAM TRAINING through July/August 2018 We will be starting team training straight after try-outs to kick start season 12. We are aware that some athletes may have holidays booked through the summer but we will continue to train with athletes who are still available for training. The academy will close from Monday 20 th August to Friday 31 st August. Please keep these dates in mind where possible when booking your holidays for next year.

These two hours will take place on Tuesday 3 rd for the camp with Morton from 7 to 9pm. However, the ballet class will run as normal from pm on Monday 2 nd October. Cylcones session will run from pm (2 hours) on Monday 2 nd October Dynasty s session will be cancelled on Tuesday 3 rd October and will take place on Wednesday 4 th October for the camp with Morton from 5 to 7pm. Thunder will start ½ hour later on 7 th October from 7 to 8pm

7 PAGE 6 CHANGE OF TRAINING TIMES CHEER & GYM There will be a change of training times for the following teams on SATURDAY 18 TH NOVEMBER. Times for these teams will be as follows: - Spirit 12pm 2.00pm Elite 1.30pm 3.30pm Extreme pm There will also be no gym on this date. Athletes who attend Saturday gym, will be required to attend a Tuesday or Thursday session to replace these dates. These dates will be the same replacement dates attended in September. All other classes will be as normal on these dates. MINI & YOUTH BALLET ( pm class) There is no ballet or this group on SATURDAY 18 TH NOVEMBER due to team members travelling to Bolton for the FC competition. The jazz stretch and technique class and team practise will take place as normal.

9 PAGE 8 CHRISTMAS SHOW 9 TH & 10 TH DECEMBER All cheerleaders who are taking part in the show have now been measured at Dancemania and paid their Christmas show training fees. Your training times for the show routines are as below:- Sunday 26 th November Mini/Youth 11.00am 2.00pm Junior/Senior pm Sunday 3 rd December Mini/Youth 10.00am 12.00pm Junior/Senior 2.00pm 3.00pm CHRISTMAS SHOW TICKETS Tickets for the Christmas show will be on sale as of MONDAY 2 nd OCTOBER. In order to purchase tickets please ring /389 between 10am to 3pm and pm Monday to Friday. Ticket prices are 13 Adult and 9 Children (age 12 and under). Please note there is a 1 booking charge per ticket and 1 charge for credit cards SHOW PERFORMANCE SATURDAY 9 TH DECEMBER (Dormston Theatre, Sedgley) All performers must arrive at Dormston Theatre by 11.00am. Dancers must bring all costumes with them ready for the show rehearsal. Costumes will be left at the theatre after the Saturday performance ready for the Sunday matinee. The show will start at 6.00pm, (doors open at 5.15pm) and the show should finish at approximately 8.30pm. SHOW PERFORMANCE SUNDAY 10 TH DECEMBER (Dormston Theatre, Sedgley) All performers must arrive at Dormston Theatre by 12.30pm. Doors will open at 1.15pm and the show will start at 2.00pm. The performance will finish around 4.00pm. SHOW DVD ORDERS BY SUNDAY 3 rd DECEMBER All orders for a Christmas show DVD must be received by SUNDAY 3 rd DECEMBER. All orders received by this date will cost 20. Any orders received after this date will cost 24 each. Those of you who purchased our DVD last year will agree that these are of a high quality providing priceless memories of your child s performance. Please note, no other videoing or photography will be allowed at the show due to Child Protection Laws.

10 PAGE 9 SA SUPREME (WORLDS TEAM) COACHES CONTRIBUTION The coaches contribution of 100 per dancer is due by MONDAY 2 ND OCTOBER. This can either be paid with cash or direct to the club account. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please text for bank details. SUNDAY TRAINING DATES (2 5pm) 1 st OCTOBER 15 TH OCTOBER 12 th NOVEMBER 17 th DECEMBER 14 th JANUARY 4 th FEBRUARY 11 th MARCH 8 th APRIL FLIGHT BALANCE The balance for the flight is due by SATURDAY 13 TH JANUARY Balance for adults is and children

11 PAGE 10 SA REIGN (NCA TRAVEL TEAM) TRAINING FEES The next payment of 72 will be due at the training session on SUNDAY 5 TH NOVEMBER. Also, any athletes under the age of 18 and travelling without a parent will be required to pay their 200 chaperone contribution by SUNDAY 5 TH NOVEMBER. This must be paid with cash in a labelled envelope. If you require a receipt for these payments, please request this when handing over the payment. The final payment of 72 for training fees will be due on SUNDAY 17 TH DECEMBER. The deposit of $50 (approx. 40) will be due by Sunday 1 st October. The final balance of $122 will be due by 14 th January OTHER COMPETITION INFORMATION We will be competing in the preliminary round on Saturday 24 th February and the finals on Sunday 25 th February. We have been notified that the spectator weekend pass will be $50, I will notify you when this needs to be paid. FLIGHT BALANCE The balance for the flights will be due by Saturday 11 th November. The balance for Adults will be 613 and children (age 15 and under) 513.

12 PAGE 11 FLYERS STRETCH CLASSES AND PAYMENTS To help with admin and bank charges, we will now require all flyers fees to be paid 18 by bank transfer on the 7 th of each month starting 7 th October. Alternatively, you can continue to pay weekly but there will be an increase for weekly cash fees to 7 per week from Saturday 7 th October. FLYERS STUNT CLASSES Supreme are once again offering flyers stunts classes from the first week in October. These can be booked from 4 to 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays. Classes must be taken in partners and will cost 15 each. All funds raised will be split between Supreme Worlds fund and the cheer fund for new gym equipment. If you would like to book a place, please see me to book your slot.
