3 Box Tops for Education The PE department is collecting Box Tops for Education. Please turn them in to your PE/Health teacher.
4 Chorus Chorus rehearsals are Monday and Thursday after school until 4:05 pm in the Band Room.
5 Ronald McDonald House Charities Grissom is once again collected pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than $40,000 from this program. A collection box will be in the Commons for your donations!
6 6 th /7 th Grade Girls Volleyball Tryouts Tryouts for 6 th and 7 th grade girls volleyball will be held from 7:30-8:30 am on Monday, Dec. 11 th and from 3:15-4:45 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 12 th. Permission forms are in the rack outside the Main Office and should be turned in to Coach Chicvara by Friday, Dec. 8 th.
7 Zumba Club Zumba Club will meet after school today in Room 111 until 4:00. You received an from Ms. Walker if you were one of the first 20 people to turn in your permission form.
8 Jazz Band Jazz Band rehearses at Prairie View every Wednesday after school from 4:00-5:15 pm.
9 Cheer/Dance Team Tryout forms for the Cheer/Dance team are available in the rack outside the Main Office. They are due back to Mrs. Griffin in Room 210 TODAY! Mandatory clinic is Tuesday, Dec. 5 th with tryouts Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 6 th and 7 th.

12 Crayola ColorCycle Students and teachers will soon be collecting used markers (any brand!) to be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Boxes will be located in the Commons. The Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year! Remember, don t throw out that used marker ColorCycle it!

18 KSD 140 Special Olympics The Kirby 140 Special Olympics Basketball team will play Oak Lawn on Monday, Dec. 11 th at 6:30 pm right here at Grissom! Come out and show your support for our Special Olympians!

26 Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year, we ve saved 4,110 bottles from landfills! Let s beat last year s total!
