2 CANCELLATION POLICY - The enrolment at The Jazz Factory is for the full year. Please note that you need to inform admin@jazzfactory.com.au in writing (not your class teacher) if you do not wish to return to lessons at The Jazz Factory. If you cancel after the end of Week 1 of any term, a 50% cancellation fee is charged, after Week 5 of any term, the full term fee is charged. Please note the following rules apply:- IMPORTANT NOTES FOR 2019 Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, Yoga and JF Theatre Company are the only genres you can enrol in, for one class a week. Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Technique, Acro are second weekly classes and MUST be taken with a Jazz class. All Exam and Dance company students must take at least one technique class per week. We recommend that this is supported with our Saturday ballet classes or a second weekly technique class. All invite only students for 2018 are re-invited for Students invited to 2019 exam classes will receive an invitation by in October. All Senior Jazz students (Senior 1, Senior 2, Senior 3) must take a technique class and a second weekly jazz class (exam programme recommended instead of a general jazz class). Senior Jazz students in Year 12, 2019, are able to take a senior stream class with a technique class and Contemporary and/or Lyrical instead of a second jazz class. Exam Students and Senior Jazz are all invite only classes. Dance Company is by audition only ENROLMENT INFORMATION TO ENROL please go to the 'Contact Us' page and fill in the enrolment form on our website Enrolments via will not be accepted, all students must have an enrolment form filled out via the website Enrolment for current students open on the Monday following their end of year concert ie Monday 29 th October for all pre school students and JF Theatre Company, Monday 12 th November for all students in the Junior concerts and Monday 26 th November for all students in the Senior concerts Priority enrolments for current students will close on 15 th December when all remaining spots will be offered to new students on our waitlist. We cannot hold a place for current students if an enrolment form is not submitted prior to 15 th December. 3 CLASSES 2019 NEW CLASSES New classes for 2019 include Level 7/8 Jazz Saturday, Junior Ballet and Junior Contemporary for Years 3/4, Advanced Acro for experienced Year 9+ students (must be approved by Johnny) and NEW Ready Set Dance classes on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon and a Friday morning. Junior Musical Theatre and Junior Acro are now from Year 2. Yoga for Dancers class on a Tuesday night to help increase flexibility and help calm the mind JF Dance Company (by audition only) Friday pm Ages 10 + The JF Dance Company will make up all the JF Eisteddfod Crews, Troupes, Trios, Duos and Solos for After students have auditioned and we have our final company, students will be divided into appropriate performance groups. Not all dance company members will dance in all troupes and some company members may be invited into multiple performance groups. Fees for dance company classes are included in the 6+ and 9+ classes cap but will NOT include costume and eisteddfod entry fees or any misc fees. Solos, duos and trios will not be under the multiple class cap. They will be invoiced as a private lesson. Acceptance into the company indicates commitment for the full year, every Friday (exact times TBC but please be available 4 9pm as times may change throughout the year) and every weekend during public school terms in Term 2, 3 and 4 (including first weekend at end of term) for all performances. We often do not get exact dates and times until a week before the eisteddfods. Students will jeopardise their position in the dance company by missing rehearsals or performances. If students have weekend commitments ie. sport, they MUST be able to miss them for all eisteddfods. Please think carefully about this before committing to the dance company as no exceptions will be made. The JF Dance Company is for elite dancers with strong technique, style and performance quality. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes at The Jazz Factory to be eligible to audition, however students enrolled in multiple classes (technique particularly) and styles will be at an advantage. Students need to be enrolled in all classes for 2019 by Thursday 29 th November in order to audition for the dance company. Please admin@jazzfactory.com.au if you would like to audition for Dance Company Auditions for current students will be held on Thursday 29 th November from pm for ages years and Friday 30 th November from pm for ages year All students must attend the full dance audition which will include Jazz, Hip Hop and Contemporary. Students will be assessed on the following criteria - Flexibility and strength - students must have a high level of flexibility and strength to be able to execute eisteddfod choreography with style and performance quality Ability to work in a group and take on feedback/corrections. Technique including turns and jumps. Ability to pick up choreography quickly.

4 JF Theatre Company Saturday 2-5pm Ages 8 + The Jazz Factory Theatre Company is open to all students who love to sing, dance and act. In Semester 1, students will rehearse for our musical held on 22 nd and 23 rd June. Commitment to all rehearsals (2 absences permitted) and all performances and production week rehearsals are compulsory. Students do not have to be enrolled in weekly classes at The Jazz Factory to join Fees 1 Hour class - $210 per term 45 minute class - $190 per term 1.25 hour class - $220 per term 2nd weekly class - $180 per term 3 rd weekly class - $160 per term 4 th + weekly class - $140 per term 6+ class cap - $850 per term (incl troupe) 9+ class cap - $1100 per term (incl troupe) JF Theatre Company Semester 1 (Feb-June) $685 JF Theatre Company Semester 2 (July-October) $525 Private lessons $80/hour, $50/half hour 3 rd child in family 20% discount 4 th child in family 30% discount NOTE - Class price is per Term except for JF Theatre company - price is per Semester (2 terms). Term fees are due by the second week of classes. A costume fee will be added to your term 2, 3 and 4 invoices. The cost will be $55 per costume for students to keep. LATE PAYMENT FEE A flat rate of $30 will be added to your invoice once payment is past the due date. This is payable in all cases, unless prior arrangement for late payment has been made with Kim or Fiona.
