1 January 16, 2018 Let s Go to The Movies! Gymnastics, Cheerleading and Tumbling Class Parents: The Annual Shows are TENTATIVELY scheduled for Friday June 8 th and Saturday June 9 th with rehearsal on Thursday June 7 th. We will finalize this schedule once we have confirmation from the school district on when graduation will be held and when we have received show registrations. Each year we host an Annual show for our class children. This is an opportunity for you, your family and friends to see what your child(ren) has been working on all year at WSGD! Each child will participate in one show. You and Me students participate with one adult. If your child(ren) would like to participate, you will need to purchase a show outfit for them. For girls in gymnastics classes, students will wear a show leotard, shorts are optional. Girls in cheer skills and tumbling classes will wear a show leotard and show shorts. Boys will purchase a show tee-shirt and will need to wear plain black or dark blue shorts to wear with the tee-shirts. Leotards are $34. A leotard and shorts are $52. The boys tee-shirts are $18. The show shirts are different than the keepsake shirts listed below. You may order your child s show outfit by stopping into the office or ing us at tumble@wsgd.net. We can add the outfit to your account and you may log on to pay for it or pay for it in person. Ordering your child s show outfit is how you sign them up to participate in the show. Outfits must be purchased by Wednesday March 14 th. We will accept children into the show after this date, but we cannot guarantee that the leotard they receive (for girls) with have the logo on it due to production time. 2 Attached, you will find a table with all of the year-end shows listed. Under each show is a list of which classes will perform at that show. All of the rehearsals and shows will be held at the Chambersburg Area Middle School South (CAMSS) in the gym. CAMSS is on the corner of Stouffer Avenue (near the Butcher Shoppe) and McKinley Street across from Memorial Park. There is some parking in the circle in front of the gym which you can enter from Stouffer Avenue. There will be handicap parking and a drop off area for those who cannot walk from the main parking lot. The main lot is located to the side of the gym with the entrance on McKinley St. We encourage those who are able to walk a little extra distance to park in the lot and leave some space at the gym for those who have difficulty getting around. Rehearsal for ALL CLASS CHILDREN: Thursday, June 7 th (At the Chambersburg Area Middle School South) 4:30-6:00 You and Me, Just Threes, Tumble Tots, Cheer Skills I 6:00-7:30 Kinder Tots, Cheer Skills II, Tumbling, Gym Kids II, Tots Too 7:30-9:00 Gym Kids I, Older Girls and Boys, Boys Only, Pre-Team All children should check in at the table directly outside of the gymnasium. You will be directed from there where to go. Children will get their hand marked at rehearsal to indicate which routine they are in. You must know what class your child is enrolled in and which show they are scheduled for. Rehearsal will begin with the march-in and the finale while all of the children are there so it is important that you arrive promptly when you are scheduled. We will then rehearse each group s routine from the youngest children to the oldest so that younger children can leave as early as possible. We strive to keep our rehearsals running on time! Please make sure that your child is with their class by the rehearsal start time listed above. This year, Gymnasticsphoto.com will be taking pictures ONLY at rehearsal of your gymnast and/or cheerleader if you would like to have them taken. This is a large company that we have used for team pictures before and they take pictures at large competitions/meets. The team banner in our lobby was taken by them. Pictures will be taken before and/or after your child s rehearsal of the group routine. We will cut the picture line to ensure that we start rehearsal ontime. You will be directed when and where to take your child(ren) for pictures. We will provide a small beam and/or a mat/block for posing along with one of our staff members to help with posing. If you would like your child s picture taken, pick up an order form in the lobby. A large variety of packages are available. They offer very basic packages as well as a variety of novelty items. You will need to complete the order form and pay for your pictures on Thursday at rehearsal, please come prepared with your check book, cash (exact change) or credit card information on the package form. Please be sure you include your address on the picture form. Pictures will be delivered to the gym and available for pick-up approximately 4 weeks after they are taken. If you are having pictures taken, your child(ren) should either bring their show outfit or come dressed in their show outfit. If you are not having pictures taken they may wear any other leotard or shorts and a tee shirt. Pictures of siblings and friends can be taken. Families who have both class and competitive team children are welcome to have sibling photos taken.

Please make sure that they have been to the restroom and collect any clothing and shoes before sending them into the gym. **Due to the many requests for specific shows/times that we get and the large number of children who participate, it is not possible to accommodate all requests. If there is a problem with the show you have been assigned, stop in the office and we should be able to take care of moving your child to another day/time based on the class that they are enrolled in. We also have a number of siblings in our program, if they have been split into different shows and you want them to be in the same show, contact me right away and we will make changes if possible. If you do not mind your children being in separate shows and coming to more than one show, you will pay the admission fee only once. Tots Too and Pre Team are only able to be in the show they are scheduled for.
4 Annual Show Keepsake Tee Shirts: will be again ordered this year. They are white and have our theme, name and date of the show on the front. On the back will be the names of all of the children who participate in all of our programs. Tee Shirts are $18.00 and must be paid in full and ordered in advance by April 19 th. Sample Photo Only. Tee-shirt will be white with Purple and Black text. Name & Class Youth Small Youth Medium Youth Large Adult Small Adult Medium Adult Large Adult XL Adult 2X ($2 upcharge) TOTAL NUMBER OF SHIRTS x $18.00 = $ General Information Admission: Adults: $5.00, Children 5 through 13: $3.00, Children 4 and under free. Tickets will be available for presale in the office in the back building only, beginning May 1 st. Pre-purchase helps to get spectators in the gym much faster without having to wait in long lines. We ask that if possible, you pay by either cash or check only. We would prefer not to have tickets paid by debit/credit cards, but will accept them if necessary and only for purchases over $10. You will receive a ticket which must be presented at the time of arrival. Tickets are non-refundable. CAMSS Gymnasium has bleacher seating and purchasing tickets in advance does not reserve specific seats. Bottom bleachers will be reserved for those who cannot climb them as well as chairs for those who need them. We will be operating a concession stand (any food or drink items purchased must be finished before entering the gym), selling flowers and doing 50/50 raffles during the shows. The proceeds help to support the expenses associated with the shows and maintenance of equipment at the gym that all of the children use. Your support is greatly appreciated. Some of our children have been with us for many seasons, some began this season and some just recently. Our purpose and goal of having our annual show is that each and every one of them has a great time and a positive experience performing for their family and friends! Having our competitive teams perform also gives you and the class children the opportunity to see what some of our former class gymnasts and cheerleaders have accomplish with hard work and dedication. We are looking forward to great shows! Please let us know if you have any questions. Finally, don t forget to visit our website, to sign up for summer classes and camps! We will open in our NEW larger gym with the beginning of the summer schedule! You may register for summer camps and clinics via our event calendar which is linked into the home page of our website. Click on classes to access our online class schedule. You may register by clicking on the register link to the left of the class day/time that you would like to select. We are looking forward to fantastic performances from our class children! The Staff and Coaches of WSGD
