6 Room 1 Mrs. Janett, Ms. Briana & Ms. Kathryn Baby Sign Cereal Color Red Shape Heart Heart - Corazon Rhyme I see the Moon Jack and Jill Music Go In and Out the Window In the month of January we learned so many new things. We used the color blue to paint our shape of the month, and dangled our feet and hands into flour to feel the texture of it. We created a scrap book of photos of all the art and curriculum we completed. Room 1 really enjoyed learning the song Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. We are excited to see what next month brings us!

7 Room 2 Mrs. Darlene & Ms. Andrea In January we learned about the circle shape, the color blue, and practiced the our sign play. We had fun using our fingers and toes in flour, and enjoyed making winter crafts. One cool activity we enjoyed playing was paper ball toss and playing with our toy phones. 8 Room 3 Ms. Yvette & Ms. Kristi Baby Sign Cereal Color Red Shape Heart Window- La Ventana Rhyme I see the Moon Music Go In and Out the Window In the month of January we played with sensory bags with circle buttons. We went back into time and painted with dinosaur feet and scooped dinosaur eggs from the water. Our toes and fingers also played in flour to feel the texture of it. A few exciting activities we completed was the hidden name painting, a scrap collage of shapes and colors. Room 3 is curious as to what February will bring us!

9 Room 4 Ms. Ana, Ms. Kayla & Ms. Baillie 3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF! This month we learned about all things in Space. We focused on stars, which is our shape of the month. We created a lot of amazing art such as our space mural, a star dust collage, and moon sand. We also discussed about planets and astronauts. 10 Room 5 Ms. Megan & Ms. Michelle Theme Transportation & Outer space Sign Stop Science & Nature Focus Shadows & Birds Character Value Truthfulness Stop- Alto Room 5 had an amazing start to the New Year. We talked about different seasons and how the trees change depending on the season. We also got to explore how different seasons have different weather. We also took a look at animals that love to live where it has freezing weather; like polar bears, penguins, and sea lions! We have been practicing our letters and sounds really well all month. Room 5 celebrated Diversity by observing how everyone is different and that is beautiful! We are anxious to learn more in the month of February.

12 Room 6 Mrs. Daisy & Ms. Amanda This month was full of awesome activities. We made a rainstorm using shaving cream and blue food coloring. We used fruit loops to make a rainbow and enjoyed eating them. Our friends also learned about polar animals and made snow from liquid starch, water, and salt for our polar bear activity. The last activity we did was, we made a penguin using toilet paper rolls and crafts. It was very exciting this past month, but we are ready to enter the month of February! 13 Room 7 Mrs. Sarahi & Ms. Hannah Theme Transportation & Outer space Sign Stop Science & Nature Focus Shadows & Birds Character Value Truthfulness Stop- Alto During the month of January we had a blast learning about seasons and weather. The whole class enjoyed making art for each season, and built habitats for the polar animals which are in their block center. Some of their favorite activities were the rain, snow, and magnetic sort prop boxes. Our friends were super excited to learn new and sign language words while celebrating diversity. We completed a few activities that helped us understand the concept more better. Room 7 is very excited for February and looking forward to Valentine's Day, and all the new themes we will be learning about.

14 Room 8 Ms. Tasha, Ms. Bri, & Ms. Alyssa January has been filled with several activities to focus on our themes and science and nature focus. The children enjoyed the magnets in math and science, they were very curious as to which ones would pull and stick together. We utilized our sensory tub that was filled with ice and water to demonstrate that the penguins and polar bears lived in a familiar habitat. Room 8 created a penguin by using shapes such as circles and ovals. We learned so much this month, we are off to a good start this year, and very eager to see what February has in store for us! They also learned about the artic animals and enjoyed playing with them in their sensory tubs. The kids also enjoyed doing weather experiments such as making rain and How do Penguins Stay Dry experiment. We also had fun exploring with magnets, dressed up dolls with different cultural clothing and discussed about diversity and understood how we are different and beautiful we all are. We are eager and excited to learn more in the month of February.!

In the month of January room 10 has been busy learning about very diverse topics. We ve had the opportunity to touch on Europe and all of it s countries and even major land marks! The second week of January had the after schoolers dive into the world of weather and its many forms. Room 10 is currently learning about the middle ages and many of the students love learning about the massive castles and Kings and their staff that resided within. We will rap up January by looking more into topics of families and they look like across the world!
