1 Texoma Christian School 3500 W. Houston Sherman TX January 14, 2016 Congratulations to Colby Wilkens, a 7th grader, who won the TCS Spelling Bee after 20 rounds of competition! The championship word that he spelled was jai alai, which means a ball game played on a large walled court by two or four players who wear long curved wicker baskets strapped to their wrists. Emma Stokes was the runner-up. Colby will compete in the Scripps County Spelling Bee at Grayson College on February 3rd. We are so proud of all of our 4th -8th grade class winners who participated in the school spelling bee. 4 The Sherman Shooting Stars Special Olympics Texas Team has challenged our TCS Faculty Team (cheered on by Faculty Cheerleaders) to a Basketball Game on Tuesday, January 19, :00 p.m. in the TCS Gym $3.00 Admissions Everyone is invited! Friday, January 22 Black Out Day Wear all black Pep Rally at 1:50 p.m. Varsity Basketball Games --Girls play at 6:00 p.m. & Boys play at 7:30 p.m. Senior Recognition & Presentation of Homecoming King & Queen between Girls and Boys Games JV Girls play at 4:00 p.m. & JV Boys play at 5:00 p.m. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in Spirit Week. Show your EAGLE Spirit! Make sure that when you dress up it is suitable for TCS nothing inappropriate or immodest. If the student does not participate in Spirit Week attire, he/she must wear the usual TCS uniform.
