2 Father s Day Stall Thank you to the parents who ran the Father s Day Stall today. The students were all very pleased to be able to buy a great gi for their father or significant male in their life. The prices were so reasonable and the choice of gi s was amazing. Happy Father s Day to all our fathers, I m sure they will be spoilt on Sunday. Spor ng Schools Terry has con nued to run Spor ng Schools this term with at least twenty students each Monday and Friday enjoying soccer and developing their skills. We have now been able to secure funding to con nue Spor ng Schools in Term 4, sorry for the confusion. We are being supported by Melbourne City Football (soccer) Club so soccer will con nue on Monday s at 3.15pm and Friday s during lunch me. Please remember that pick up me is at 4.30 pm on Monday and every child needs to bring a snack to eat a er school. Kids Teaching Kids Kids Teaching Kids is always a great day and we are looking forward to our students presen ng their work at the Wetlands Reserve on Monday 5 th September. Tracey is very proud of the work they have put together about The Human Footprint. The students have put together two games, a song, a story, quiz, posters and many models that show what happens when humans affect our environment by li ering, logging and waste. Everyone is welcome! New Carpet On Wednesday 14 th September we will be laying new carpet squares in the mul purpose room, Grade 5/6 classroom and the wall of the Art Room to reduce the sound level. A er a two hour lesson with Tim from Mc Mats carpet company, parents will take over and finish the job. We need helpers to remove old carpet before the 14 th and help lay new carpet squares on the 14 th. Please give us a hand! Cluster Athle cs Students who qualified to par cipate in the Cluster Athle cs will travel to Leckie Park in Alexandra next Tuesday 13 th September. Thank you Deb Male who has organised the tryouts and Lou Fillmore for coaching the students during recent Phys Ed sessions. Shopping Tour The shopping trip on the 15 th October is a terrific fundraising opportunity for the school. We are so reliant upon school fundraising and desperately need people to get behind this Shopping Tour to support the school. Numbers and payment of $50.00 for the bus are required by end of term to secure the hostess and the bus for the day. Please invite along friends and family to a end and support the school. We will also send an electronic version home via with today s newsle er. Please feel free to forward this on to family and friends to help spread the word! Thanks Deb Issue No 26 Page 2 31st August 2016

The classes it will be offered to will change each week. The food will be freshly made by the 5/6 class and as much as possible will use ingredients from the school garden. Notes will be sent home the week before for students to order. The lunches will vary between soups, pasta dishes and rolls - depending on what's available, and we will be aiming to keep the costs between $3.00 -$5.00. Money raised will buy ingredients for the lunches plus support the garden. The first few meals we are expec ng to make will be a pesto pasta and a pumpkin soup from the garden - so stay tuned for yummy lunches! Patrick For being warm and welcoming to a returning student!
