3 The Freedom Movement will be watching a movie today on Human Trafficking Awareness in room c101 during STEP. Everyone is welcome!

4 Major Key Alert! Major Key Alert! The Social Awareness Group is hosting the Yee Movement in the Auditorium on all staff and student body are encouraged to come to this special event. There will be appearances form many school groups around the school. Dont miss out on the Wave!

5 Minority Scholars Application Packets are due to Ms. Young by Friday, March 4th. Make sure to get your completed application in before then. See Ms. Young in Room B116 at STEP if you have any questions.

6 . Attention Seniors: Please remind your parents that the senior parent meeting will be held on Monday March 7 th at seven Pm in the auditorium. You don t need to attend, but your parents do; so please remind them. Senior Parent Meeting. March 7 th. Auditorium. 7 PM.

7 SENIORS!! Ticket request for graduation should have come in the mail at your home. Please fill it out, and return it to the main office by March 11. Everyone MUST turn in the form! If you did not receive a form in the mail, see Ms. Squier in b102 for a copy. Any requests for tickets made after March 11 are subject to not being honored.

8 Hey! Watkins mill, do you have a passion for fashion, or like dressing up? Then the 4th annual fashion show is for you. On Thursday, March 3 rd, you can audition to be in the spring Fashion show. Auditions are from 3:15-5 and you must come dressed appropriately, ladies wear 4 inch heels and men wear dress shoes. There is only ONE day to do auditions so hurry and sign up. A bar code will be posted around the building for you to sign up or you can sign up on the Fashion Couture bulletin board, for more information contact Talia Steed or Roberta Ewane

9 Beginning Tuesday, March 1st, there will be a schoolwide breakfast program available at Watkins Mill High School. ALL students will have breakfast available in their 1st period classroom between 7:30 and 7:45. Students MUST eat their breakfast in their 1st period class. Any uneaten breakfast will be removed from the classroom and class will start promptly at 7:45. Students arriving late will be instructed where to get breakfast when they sign in at the attendance office. And now for some Career Center News!

10 Attention Minority Scholars, all students who are interested in being a part of the Minority Scholars Program. We are looking for students who are leaders, thinkers, and doers. See Ms. Young in Room B112 for an application packet.

11 The NAACP Scholarship for any minority senior with a 3.0 weighted GPA or higher and community service is available now in the College/Career Center. There will be several awards of $1000. The deadline is by the end of the day today. Now for some wolverine sports

12 Attention students interested in competing this outdoor track season. All paperwork for this upcoming season is due Monday, February 29. All paperwork is due before you can practice. The first day of practice is Tuesday, March 1st. If you have any questions please feel free to see Coach Adams in room C104 during STEP.

13 The indoor track team competed at the state 3A indoor championships last night. Your top performers were Sahil Shrestha placing 2nd in the state in the high jump Schez Carter 5th in the 300 dash Alyssa Rishell 5th in the 500 dash And to finish off the night the girls 800 meter relay finished 3rd in the state. The relay consisted of Rhoda Miller, Nana Tutu, Samantha Whipp and Alyssa Rishell. Great job Rines!

14 ATTENTION VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS. THERE WILL BE A COED AND BOY S VOLLEYBALL TRYOUT ON TUESDAY MARCH 1 ST IN THE MAIN GYM FROM 2:45-4:45. YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL AND THE VOLLEYBALL PACKET FULLY FILLED OUT IN ORDER TO TRYOUT. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE SEE COACH MARTIN OR COACH RILEY IN THE PE OFFICES.
