3 Congratulations to the winners in our mother s appreciation contest. The contest was founded in 1993 by Diamond Mike Watson in honor of his birthmother and adoptive mother. Today the contest is in honor of all mothers, and helps prepare students for a lifetime of success by building their self-esteem. Each student has earned a genuine unmounted African Garnet or Brazilian Amethyst. Winners will come to our store to recite their writings, then select and present their gemstones to their mother figures. The words of winning submissions are also published in a yearly book and are on display in store as well as available for purchase. Pacifica Pride Week 3
