1 Let the excitement begin! Plans for The Studio and The Creative Company s 2017 Production/Recital are in the make!! Students who take one class will participate in just one of the shows. Company Dancers be prepared to possibly perform in all shows. Dudes & Dolls and Sweet Petites will perform in two. A detailed breakdown of show times, along with which show(s) your child will perform in,will be distributed in the near future. If your child participates in more than one class, or you have two daughters in different classes, please stop by the front desk to fill out a form that will help us try to place their classes in the same show. It is not necessary for competitive dancers to fill out this form. Please note our FIRST priority is placing siblings in the same show. Dancers will begin working on their Production/Recital routine(s) in late January, early February. We greatly encourage parents videotaping your child s routine in class as they learn it. Our staff will allow parents to enter class to videotape the last 5 minutes of class each week. Studying the footage is a wonderful way for a student to practice at home. Around the end of February your instructor will present a picture of your child's costume that will be worn in the Production. Costumes will begin arriving in March. Picture dates are listed on the front of this Newsletter. Individual photos will also be taken at this time. Should you have questions regarding any of this information please direct them to your instructor. We feel that great communication is one of the key components to a successful show! PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A COSTUME YOU WILL HAVE NEEDED TO PAY THE $85 COSTUME FEE (THE FIRST HALF WAS DUE WITH LAST SESSIONS TUITION, SECOND HALF DUE WITH THIS SESSIONS TUITION). YOU MAY PAY THE ENTIRE COSTUME FEE WITH THIS SESSIONS PAYMENTS IF YOU HAVE JUST DECIDED YOU WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE SHOW. PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY JANUARY 30TH. AFTER JANUARY 30TH THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL $20 DUE TO ORDER A COSTUME LATE. COSTUMES ORDERED LATE WILL ARRIVE LATER THAN THE REST OF THE GROUPS. COSTUME DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE. QUESTIONS MAY BE DIRECTED TO THE DESK. Attention actresses and actors! It s time for us to choose the cast of The Studio s 2017 Production/Recital Will you be part of this year s magic?? Pick up audition information at the front desk beginning Friday, January 20th. Auditions are open to anyone and everyone ages 5 to 85 years of age. Tryouts will be held at The Studio on Friday, January 27th from 4:00-5:30 PM. You may sign up for a time slot of your choice at the front desk. On the day of auditions, bring a picture of yourself along with your shoe and clothing sizes to tryouts. The list of the final cast will be posted on the front door by Monday, January 30th. Practices will be held on alternating Fridays and Sundays throughout the months of February through May. A full schedule of this information will be handed out at the first practice/meeting on Friday, February 3rd at 6:45PM. We need all chosen cast members to attend this practice along with one parent. Cost for costume is $85. Lessons are $180 which include all stage rehearsals for a total of $265. Please direct questions to Ms. Tara. Hope to see you at auditions!!!
