2 Recent Events Tea Party & Games with Union University Students March 20th Students from Union University love to come volunteer for activities with the residents. Different students usually come every month to spend time with the residents, whether it s socializing or playing games. We decided on having a Tea Party, which consisted of hot tea, powdered doughnuts, and an assortment of cookies. The residents had the opportunity to choose different flavors of tea. The students enjoyed socializing with the residents during the party. Afterwards they challenged Remembrance Village in games of bingo and bean bag toss. They always look forward to coming back. Balloon Volleyball March 28th The residents enjoy this activity so much. This is one of their favorite and most competitive activities they enjoy doing. Everyone is positioned in a circle with pool noodles and a balloon. They all take turns hitting the balloon back and forth to each other. It brings much joy and laughter to everyone. We usually play this game twice a week, which they look forward to. 1 May 2018 Newsletter
