4 School Activities BPMS Facebook Like us on Facebook to see weekly announcements and to celebrate the great things our kids achieve! PTSO We invite everyone to the PTSO meetings, which meet the first Wednesday of every month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at BPMS. Our next meeting is Wednesday, October 5th Come and join us! School Dance The PBIS will be sponsoring a Fall Dance on October 27th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. There will be refreshments and drinks for sale. Come join the fun! RECYCLING CENTER: We have great news for not only our local residents but for businesses as well. We want your used toner cartridges for printers, copiers and faxes. This wonderful program will benefit our Library s audio/video collection as well as saving you the time and energy of disposal. Items can be brought to the Library. If you have any questions please call We also recycle used tennis shoes, used cell phones, and newspapers and other paper products. Bring the tennis shoes and cell phones to the library. We collect various items for the school as well. Campbell s Soup Labels may be dropped off in the main office.
5 School Activities Drama Drama club is up and running! We are working on the skills of developing character traits, enunciation, projection, costuming and teamwork! The performance honoring our Veterans will be November 1, 2017 at 7 p.m. Destination Imagination Do you love to act? Use your imagination to create new worlds? Build sets? Solve mind puzzles? Design costumes? Have fun in a group? Then Destination Imagination is for you! Use all of these skills and teamwork to answer the challenges. This after school club begins in October. See Ms. Cranmer, Ms. Aken, Mr. Nurczyk or Mrs. Philipp s for more details. Our first meeting will be on October 6 in room 152 The Book Fair is Coming The BPMS Patriotic Book Fair is coming! The fair will be open in the library Nov from 7:15am-2:00pm, and on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:30pm. 6 Library News Creation Station Book It! (Read for Pizza) A place to create, tinker, make, explore and do. There are art supplies, legos and K Nex permanently available to utilize. The challenge this month is to build a structure that can span a foot and hold a five pound weight. Need more than one day to complete it? We can keep it safe in our Works In Progress cabinet. Do you love pizza? Then you should do Book It! Achieve the reading goals set by your Literature Teacher for each month and earn a free personal pan pizza a month from October March. This is only for our 6th grade students.
7 Library News TAB New in the BPMS Library! Order books from TAB, the Scholastic club for middle school. Prices start at $1.00! You can find new releases, favorite books, non-fiction and more! Pick up a TAB magazine in the library or go to and enter code RLJKT. Orders due by Friday, October 13, Check out a new selection each month! Zombie Game - Get infected in the library and play the Zombie Game! Zombies love brains, so find the 10 brains hidden around the library for a chance to win a cool zombie prize! Two winners per grade level will be drawn at random from all correct entries. This game runs October Winners will be announced on October 31. Like to LISTEN to your books? Check out our Playaways, Mp3 players or books on CD. Get a parent permission slip here at the bottom of the page: ml Library Checkout Maximum of 5 items may be checked out at one time. 10 school days (2 week) check-out for books, videos, audiobooks, and back issues of magazines. A one day grace period on returns will apply and after that 5 cents per school day on overdue books and magazines. 50 cents will be charged for overdue videos, audiobooks on CD, Playaways, MP3 players per school day. If you owe $1 or more on an overdue item, no check-outs will be allowed until it is returned and the amount is paid. If any item is overdue longer than a month, the student will be responsible for the purchase price or the return of the book and overdue fines. A student ID is required in order to check out material. How do I know when my book is due?
