1 August Leadership Retreat 10-2 B116 Pep band retreat 11-2 B116 Ram Camp 8:30 Pep game 5:00 Call Parent meeting 6:00 Pep Game 5:30 Call Leadership retreat: A training and planning event for the orchestra and band councils. We will be discussing goals and planning out the year. Pep band Retreat: Opening event for the year, we will be reading and rehearsing new pep band music as well as some old favorites. Parent meeting: This meeting is so that I can go over the calendar with the parents and outline all of the exciting events we are involved in this year. I can also answer any questions about the disclosure, calendar, fundraising, field trips and etc.
2 September Pep Game Call 5: Homecoming Call 5: Jazz Band Auditions Homecoming: our biggest game of the season. Alumni are invited to join us.
3 October Pep Game Call 5:30 (our Half-time) Fall Concert 7:00 Call 6: Butter Braids kick off Butter Braids kick off Fall concert: combined pops concert at 7:00pm, featuring movie music, pop arrangements, and more. Students call time will be 6:00pm and they are required to wear concert Black Butter braids: we begin our annual butter braids fundraiser. The money from this greatly helps buy odds and ends for the program including new music, replacing broken equipment and more

5 December Band concert 6:00 5:30 Call Orchestra concert 7:30 7:00 Call Letter writing campaign Letter writing campaign Winter concert: The concerts are separated into two events. The band at 6:00pm and the orchestra at 7:30. Calls are listed above. This concert will feature holiday favorites along with standard and class repertoire. As well as combined performances. Letter writing campaign: Fundraiser where students out a newsletter about the program.
6 January Freak East Call- 4:00 (Everyone) Pep game (band A) Call 4: Pep game (Everyone) Call 4:30 Half-time show Hillside/highland band festival Call- 6:00 concert- 7:00 Hillside/highland orchestra festival Call 6:00 Concert 7:00 Freak East- biggest game of the season everyone is required to be there Tour meeting- For those interested in going to the lagoon festival in May. I will hand out music and explain the rehearsal schedule. Half time show- the band has been invited to perform a halftime show for the basketball game on the 30 th Hillside/Highland concert- Annual combined concert featuring music from Hillside, highland and a few combined groups.
7 February Hillside/highland orchestra festival Call 6:00 Concert 7:00 Lagoon Money Due $ Pep Band (Band B) Call- 4:30 Orchestra auditions after school Band Auditions after school Extra audition day Highland/Hillside Orchestra concert- Annual combined concert featuring music from Hillside, highland and a few combined groups. Auditions- all students who wish play in symphony or symphonic band music audition. Signups will be posted
8 March Tour money Due $30 (Amount will change depending on fundraiser) Region S&E Murray High School Tour Money Due: all students interested in going on the in-state tour and workshop must pay the $50 fee to treasurer or they will be dropped. Solo and ensemble: Qualifying students will participate at Murray high school, times will be announced.
