1 ICWL LEAGUE MEETING MINUTES Monday November 3, 2014 Plymouth Meeting Community Center 7:00 pm 8:00 pm Treasurer s report (Scott V) o As of 11/3/14 there was $ in the account. Wildwood Dual entry of $850 was paid on 10/24/14 o 30 clubs have paid their dues to date o ALL dues are to be paid by the December meeting or a LATE FEE will be tacked on to the initial $150 fee. PJW Update Terry Fennell o Area I was split this year. o Top 4 counties were split off to area IV o By doing this we will have 2 the amount of kids go to states o By splitting youth and junior high PJW s has to seek more sponsorships as all cost were covered by entrant s entry fees. Going from one venue to two increases the epenses with no increase in entry fees. Please consider being a sponsor of this year s PJW tournament! o This year there will only be two qualifiers that will be true double elimination. Germantown Academy March 1, 2015 Interboro February 15, 2015 o This year there will be a $10 advancement fee that will be paid to secure the wrestlers spot for the championships. It will be refunded to them at the championship. o The PJW Junior High Championship will be February 8, 2015 Venue not yet determined.

2 There will not be a qualifier for the Junior High wrestlers. Top 3 will advance to States. o PJW Junior High State tournament will be held March 1, 2015 o Youth Area I Championship will be held at LaSalle on March 15, USA Wrestling Insurance Update o All teams are chartered o Remaining deadline dates: 11/30/14 Rosters need to be submitted/ ed 11/30/14 A minimum of 2 Coaches Background Checks MUST be completed. 12/10/14 Deadline for all Payments to USA Wrestling Credit card payment preferred Debit Card payment preferred Club check sent in to USA Wrestling 12/31/14 Rosters due to USA Wrestling Athletes can be added up to this date. Any added after this date would need league approval. o Once your wrestlers are registered you will receive your USA numbers for each wrestler. If a wrestler registered and received a card last year, their number will be the same. o If a club needs to make any changes to their insurance certificate, send requests to Insurance@intercountywrestlingleague.org. Weigh Verifications o All original weight verifications will be done no earlier than November 24 th and no later than December 8 th. o Second weight verification will take place on January 17 th.

3 Scheduling Committee Update - (Mike McGinnis) o The scheduling committee will meet net Wednesday night 11/12/14 to finalize the schedule. Once schedule is finalized it will be circulated to all ICWL contacts to relay to their respective clubs. It will also be posted on the ICWL website. Duals Committee Update (Fred Corradetti) o ICWL Invitational Duals Will take place January 3, 2015 Will be hosted by Neshaminy at the Neshaminy HS. There will be no more than 8 teams K-8 Format will be 2 pools of 4. Currently close to being filled we have the following teams committed: o Beat the Streets o Bruiser ICWL All ICWL teams should start sending Freddy names of their top wrestlers who could wrestle for the Bruiser team. o Keystone Elite o War Hawks? o Beast Danbury Connecticut o Iron Horse Possibility - Contacted us o Tyrant Duals Is Dec. 27 th & 28 th - Overnight tournament for middle school wrestlers. o Battle of the Bridge (SJWA) - will be held Tuesday 2/24/15 in South Jersey at Kingsway HS or Deptford. o Wildwood We committed to the Wildwood Duals but need to have o VEWL Will be host at VEWL site this year. Date TBD. o Bruiser Duals This will be held Feb. 15 th.

4 o Jan 17 th & 18 th Delaware Duals - $400/team, K-8, Guaranteed 10 matches. Technology Updates (Brian M) o Everything is up to date w/league info. o All teams need to make sure they use the roster template that Brian sent out. o Once you receive your coach s membership numbers each team will need to go back & enter them in on the website. All teams should list the coach s name & USA number to verify background checks. o Brian will be setting up a Webinar right after Thanksgiving to teach new members & refresh eisting members on the weekly match up pairing software & process. ICWL Championship Committee updates (Angela Q, Chester R, Matt M) The Championship will be held March 8 th at Competitive Edge in KOP. The committee has reached out to Oaks to try and secure the 3 rd week in February 2016 for net year s tourney. They can run 20 mats. WE currently need a minimum of 15. Mike will pair you up with a veteran rep/club as a mentor to answer any questions your club may have through out the season. If your 4 year old wrestlers wrestle in the novice as a 4 year old then as a 5 year old they MUST wrestle in the open. Will further discuss issue of 4 year old wrestlers at the December meeting regarding issues like the following: Practice room liability especially if they are not rostered.
