2 EXT. HOUSE - NIGHT (20) is a good looking guy, dressed sharply in a suit and carrying a small bouquet of flowers. He walks towards the front door. Nervously he straightens his tie. He gets closer and closer to the door, leaving his car behind him. He gets to the front door and pauses taking a deep breath. He rings the bell A moment passes and the door swings open to reveal (50) He is short portly man with a big smile, Wearing a dark green sweater vest and khakis. Hello? Oscar smiles big. Hello, I am here to take Emma out. Oh you must be Pete. He reaches out to shake his hand, Pete shakes his hand. My name is Oscar, I am Emma s father. Nice to meet you sir. Come in come in. Pete enters the home. INT. HOME - NIGHT Pete and Oscar are standing in the front of a nicely furnished home. Emma is still getting ready, Lets go into the living room and we can talk for a few minutes. Pete nods nervously.
3 2. They enter the living room and sit down across from each other. Oscar nods. Oscar smiles. You have a beautiful home sir. Thank you. So how long have you known my daughter. A few weeks. What do you do for a living? I am an electrician. That s good work. Yeah its pretty good. Did you know that Emma was adopted? Pete looks confused. No sir. Yes, She was adopted her and her three brothers. She is our princess and we are very protective of her. That s nice. Oscar nods with the awkward silence, his smile fading from his face. I am sure her brothers would like to meet you.
4 3. Oh yeah? Ryu! (Screaming) Pete looks nervous as RYU (20) comes flying into the room landing in the middle of the room. He has a deadly serious look on his face and strikes a martial arts pose. This is my son Ryu, Emma s youngest brother. Ryu begins Punching and kicking ferociously, fists and feet coming within inches of Pete s face. Pete is staring blankly. He has four different black belts and can break cinder blocks on his face. Ryu stops, breathing heavy. Impressive. Ryu slowly walks backwards not breaking his stare on Pete, finally he stands next to Oscar who is still seated. Ryu loves his sister very much. Ryu nods. Pete smiles awkwardly. (Screaming) Thaddeus! In comes strolling THADDEUS (25) Shirtless, he has muscle on top of muscles. He is sweating like he was just working out. Looks even meaner then Ryu. He walks slowly to the middle of the room staring directly at Pete. This is my son Thaddeus. Thaddeus subtly flexes as his father talks.
5 4. Thaddeus is a former wrestling champion, was gonna go to the Olympics before he failed a drug test for steroids. Bulked him up like crazy but man did it give him a bad temper. Thaddeus is breathing heavy as he walks backwards and stands next to Oscar. Thaddeus calls Emma, his Lil Ems, She is the only thing more important to him then working out. Pete forces a smile. That s nice. (Screaming) Tito! In enters TITO (30) wearing a white tank top, his arms and chest tattooed. He comes walking in playing with a switch blade, flipping it open and closed. Yeah pop? TITO Come meet Emma s date. Tito stops in the middle of the room snarling at Pete as he plays with the knife. Tito is my oldest son. I am so glad he is back from his time in prison. Prison? Oh don t worry he didn t murder anyone. TITO Attempted murder. Pete swallows hard.
6 5. Yeah just attempted murder. TITO Its the thought that counts. Tito walks backwards to stand next to Ryu, never breaking his stare on Pete. So as you can see Emma comes from a very loving family and if that intimidates you in anyway then you can leave now, I will be happy to explain it to her for you. Pete looks up and down the intimidating figures. (20) enters, she is beautiful. She looks at her father and brothers in disgust. Dad! Why didn t you tell me Pete was here? We were just trying to get to know him better honey. Emma marches over to Pete and grabs his hand. Lets go Pete. She leads him to the front door. Her father jumps up and follows them with her brothers behind. Emma and Pete exit. EXT. HOUSE - NIGHT Emma and Pete walk from the house, Oscar is standing at the door. She has Gonorrhea! Emma turns and looks at her dad angrily. Oscar looks scared. Have a good night honey be home by 11.
7 6. He quickly closes the door. Emma and Pete keep walking until they get to the car, they then stop and look at each other. I am so sorry about my crazy family. That was pretty weird. I completely understand if you are too freaked out to go on this date tonight. Pete shakes his head and smiles. Emma blushes. No, Emma, I really like you and I think we could have something special, none of this stuff is going to scare me off. You are too sweet. Where are we going for our date? Were gonna go to that new steakhouse that just opened up. Oh, I am a vegetarian. His face looks totally shocked, A few awkward moments go by. I don t think this is gonna work out. He begins walking around to the driver side. She is stunned. Are you serious? He shrugs as he gets in the car, starts it up and drives off, she stares as he drives down the street. THE END
