Congratulations to the Board of Officers for their hard work in the Lodge, as New Garden Lodge once again received the Premier Lodge Award. Congratulations to Holly Lyle for winning first place in the NCMA newsletter competition for the third year in a row. Also congratulations to Tommy Lyle in receiving another Heart of the Community Award for our lodge. Once again our lodge was #1 in donations this year! If anyone has any ideas on what we can do at the Lodge to make it a friendlier place to come to, please let me know. Now it is easier than ever to get into our Social Quarters. Just use your Moose ID card in the slot by the door to the Social Quarters and you re in! Remember, only active ID cards will work, so make sure to keep your dues current. The Social Quarters is now open M-F at 3:00pm. We had a trial run for a couple of weeks and it went really well, so we ve made it official. Be sure to come out and see us!

2 From the Desk of the Sr. Regent Co-Workers: Once again I would like to invite all coworkers to join our meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at. Help us come up with new fundraisers and ways to get new members! The WOTM meal will be on Friday October 11th at - we will be having hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings for only $6.00! Our Kid s Halloween Party will be on Sunday, Oct. 27th from 2pm-4pm. Come bring you kids, grandkids, tell you friends and neighbors. The more the merrier! Thanks to all of the WOTM who donated school supplies for our September fundraiser. Joyce Mitchell took a crate filled with supplies to Pierce Elementary and Annette Yoffe took one to General Greene. The supplies will be distributed to children in need at these schools. Thanks to all and keep up the good work! If you haven t played Bingo in a while, come out and join us. We have changed our program. Early Bird games start at and our regular program starts at 7:00pm, with 14 games with prizes ranging from $50.00 to $ We also have a player s Game after the regular program. We are always in need of volunteers to help with Bingofrom picking up cards to calling back numbers. It s a fun way to volunteer at your lodge. MOOSE OF THE MONTH Our Moose of the Month for September was Tony Swain. Tony is a lot of help in the kitchen on Thursday and Friday nights. Tony is also our karaoke DJ on Friday nights and mows the grass at the lodge. Thank you Tony for all the support that you give to me. If we get enough interest in being open on Saturdays, maybe we can make it a permanent date. 3 Moose Legion News Our next Celebration will be October 12th and 13th here at the Lodge. Thanks for all the support from everyone that helped make the T-shits a success. The 100th Anniversary Moose Legion T-shirts will be on sale at the lodge for $8.00, or $10.00 for the larger sizes. Don t forget it only costs $10.00 to sign a member into the Moose Legion. Dinner and 2 drinks are free to new members and their sponsors at the Celebration, so this is an ideal time to join Ronnie Tucker Moose Legion Chairman Kid s halloween party Sunday, october 27th from 2:00pm-4:00pm. bring your kids out in their halloween costumes for some fun, games, and candy!
