ENTRY DEADLINE: January 30, 2016 AWARDS Pageant: The first five (5) places in each division will receive an award. Solo & Duet Events: First place trophy, second through fifth place medals. NOVICE AWARDS: Shall be limited to medals in compliance with NBTA International rules. PAGEANT Age Divisions: 0-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16+, College Attire: Beginner & Intermediate will model in a strut costume. Attire: Adv.: 0-9: Short Dress; 10-12: Short Dress or Formal; 13+: Formal Scoring: 1/5 Modeling, 2/5 Strutting, and 2/5 Twirling Modeling begins promptly at 8:00 am. Pageant strutting occurs before open strut. Pageant Twirl occurs before open twirl. MISS DALLAS MINI PAGEANT Age Divisions: 0-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16+ Attire: Party Dress, Formal, Costume or Sportswear. BASIC SKILLS PAGEANT Novice Contestants Only; 0-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16+ Scoring: 1/5 Modeling, 2/5 Basic and 2/5 Twirling. RATING CONTEST Contestants will be judged on individual ability not against other contestants. GENERAL INFORMATION No smoking, food or drink will be allowed in the gym. Failure to comply will result in contestant disqualification. No flash photography is allowed during performances. Qualified judges will be used for all competition. Double entering is allowed. All competitors wishing to double enter must enter your competition level and the next higher level. Winning the higher level permanently elevates the competitor to that level. (Team members competing in individual events must pay the individual facility surcharge of $15.00.) The director must mail all entries together. All friends, parents, directors and relatives will be admitted to the event free of charge. Directors must submit the names, ages and birth dates of each team member with the entry fee. First and second place teams will receive awards. GENERAL CONTEST INFORMATION 1. No membership fees required. 2. Participants must wear tennis shoes or soft sole dance shoes. 3. All contestants must have a liability release signed and mailed with entry. 4. Food will be available all day provided by the DeSoto Eaglettes Boosters. Please support the concessions, for without this group this contest would not be possible. 5. No smoking, eating or drinking in gym. Violations will result in disqualification of team or individual competitor. 6. Misconduct: Any misconduct or use of profane language is prohibited. 7.
