1 September/ October A Big Hello to All, Hopefully fall will be here soon!!! We will soon plant our winter grass and the residents can enjoy being out side, Since it is still rather warm out our focus is to keep our residents hydrated, Every morning our Maintenance Director fills the large thermos containers with ice and water to encourage everyone to stop and have a cool drink in all the gazeboes. We also have hydration time in the cottages every morning and in the afternoon. Come September we will be gearing up for the Alzheimer Walk on November 7th. We are inviting all of you to come and walk as part of our team. There will be T-shirts of sale before then. Please see Latasha with your Order and sizes. We are also planning a couple of fundraisers for the Walk in September and October. We will share the information about these upcoming events when we have set the dates. We are excited about the new asphalt and the completion of the renovation. Thank you to everyone of being patient and understanding during that time. Please com in and say hello I have an open door policy because I love visiting with all of you See You Soon Your Director Dale Howard 1. 6 Music can have Healing Powers!! Here at Pacifica Senior Living we believe in the healing power of music. We have been utilizing music and memories for the last 8mths now. (Music and Memory is a special neuroscience research music program that specializes in Alzheimer s and dementia care which can restore, temporarily but repeatedly, the sense of self often lot when memory fails.) And we have seen some positive results from it. We would like to add more residents to your list of recipients of this program. So if you would like for your loved one to benefit from this program please write a list of his or her favorite music and give it to Latasha our Activity Director or you can leave it at the front desk for activities. We are also collecting donation of gently used ipods, MP3 players, Adaptors CDs and itunes gift cards will help make our program a success.
