1 BULLDOG DAY INORMATION PACKET 2016 Mark your calendars for Bulldog Day Saturday, April 9 th 11 am 4 pm Bulldog Day is our annual school carnival, sponsored by Fernandez PTA. We will have bounce houses, rides, a dunk booth, games, food, entertainment, market vendors, and a silent auction! Thanks to the help of our parents, teachers, and high school volunteers, Bulldog Day is and has become one of our community s biggest events of the year. Please mark your calendar today, so you won t miss Bulldog Day, If you want to know how you can help, here s how Volunteer to help on Bulldog Day Send in a 12 pack of sodas for the Beverage Drive Donate items for Classroom Baskets Encourage your child to participate in the BDD Poster Contest If you have a business or service, consider being a Market Vendor or donate to our Silent Auction Become a PTA Member and when you purchase your tickets during pre-sale, you will get 4 Free Tickets for every $10 purchased in appreciation for being part of PTA. 2 Tickets cost $50 each Tickets will be pre-sold April 6 th 8th and PTA Members will receive 4 Free Tickets for every $10 purchased during Pre-Sale. Tickets will also be sold during Bulldog Day. 3 Do you have service or product to sell? Become a Bulldog Day Market Vendor! Vendors can purchase a table for $30 or two tables for $40. We are currently accepting applications for Market Vendors. To receive and application, please call and ask for Neida Lopez. Visit fernandezpta.org to print application. Do you have special food item you want to make and sell in the Food Court on Bulldog Day? PTA will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, Frito pies, sausage, chicken sliders, pizza and additional snacks. Kona Ice has already signed on as a food court vendor, but we are looking for more vendors, for example: tacos, funnel cakes, lumpias, and more! If you are interested, please contact John Cassias for details on our profit sharing contract. Pre-K, PPCD, & ALE Star Wars and Minions Kindergarten Outdoor Play and Kids Craft/Art/Painting First Grade Brushes/Bands/Bows and Science/Nature Fun Second Grade Super Heroes and Baking Fun Third Grade BBQ Fun and Car Wash Fourth Grade It s All About Pets (Dogs/Cats) and Reading Fun Fifth Grade Let s Go Spurs and Gardening Fun Specialist and Office Staff s will also be putting a basket together, but you are welcome to contribute donations for Family Game Night! 3

4 Bulldog Day Beverage Drive It s time for the annual Bulldog Day Beverage Drive! We are requesting donations in the form of 12 packs of canned beverages and cases of water. Each grade level has been assigned a type of beverage to be donated for our upcoming school carnival, Bulldog Day! Bulldog Day Saturday, April 9th, am to 4 pm Fernandez students are asked to bring in a 12 pack beverage (5 th grade case of water). In return, students will receive 3 FREE Bulldog Day tickets! Students can drop off their donations by stopping by the computer lab! Plus, we will offer a special morning drop off on Friday, April 1 st in front of the school! In order to get a variety of drinks and provide unity, we request the following name brand drinks from students in each grade: >>One Pack<< >>12oz Size Soda<< >>**Cans only<< Pre-K/PPCD Kinder First Grade Second Grade Third Grade Fourth Grade Fifth Grade Diet Coke Hawaiian Punch or Can Lemonade (Non Carbonated) Coke Sprite Sunkist or Orange Crush Dr. Pepper or Big Red Water *Note: One donation = 12 pack of soda cans or 24 pack of water bottles. One donation is all that is requested from each student. This will ensure we have plenty of drinks for you on Bulldog Day! 6 Bulldog Day is just around the corner and we are looking for Market Vendors!!! When is Bulldog Day? Saturday, April 9 th, am 4 pm The market vendor fee is $30.00 and includes one 6 ft. table and two chairs. The fee for each additional table is $ Vendor must use tables provided by Fernandez Elementary. All vendors will be located indoors. Advertisements, giveaways, and decorations are the responsibility of the vendor. Tables will be offered on a first-come basis as space is limited. Fernandez families are given priority placement, with tables being opened to the public after March 1 st, Please complete the form below and submit to the school office.
