2 NEWS FROM THE HIVE. s ave the date! Please come and have some breakfast with us! Tuesday, December 5 from 8:30-9:15. This is a fundraiser for our school s breakfast program. Please come and join us. KLEEFELD SCHOOL The Sound of Christmas Music Time goes by fast and before we know it, it s time for the Band Christmas Concert. The Concert is on Thursday Dec. 7 th at 7 pm. Students are asked to be at school for 6:30. A couple of reminders: For the concert, students need to wear a white t-shirt under their band shirts as they are see through. The band shirts will be provided for the students right before the concert. Please wear all black black pants/skirt, socks and shoes for the concert. The band students have finished the second fundraiser of the year. Great work! Thanks for supporting our students. The gift cards from this fundraiser will be available to pick up at the concert or they can be picked up at the school office after the 7 th by an adult. They will not be sent home with students. Individual student account totals will be available at the concert. Just a friendly reminder: Gr 8 students who are going on the band trip in May, there are about 5 months left to raise the funds for the trip! We look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas concert on Thursday Dec. 7 th, 2017 SHINE YOUR LIGHT FOOD AND TOY DRIVE... Will be happening from Dec. 1-11, the SHOC team will be collecting non-perishable food items and toys to be donated to the Grunthal Caring Hands. We are collecting toys for both genders and from toddlers to teens. Thank you for your support. Friday, Dec. 15 our Gr 8 students will be going to Grunthal Caring Hands to help pack hampers containing the food and toys donated by you. This is an amazing opportunity to share what we have to make other people s Christmases merry and bright! FARM TO SCHOOL FUNDRAISER We would like to say a huge THANK YOU for your support for our Farm to School Fundraiser. Fifty percent of the money raised remains in our school. Not only have you supported us in paying off the last of our play structure, many also bought veggies for Grunthal Caring Hands Food Bank and the Kleefeld School Program.

Go on an adventure with, The Trail, by Meika Hashimoto, Dan Smith s fast paced, Boy X, or survive a freak blizzard in Sherry Shahan s book, Ice Island. The next installment of the graphic novel series, The Babysitter Club - Dawn and the Impossible 3 is out and ready to be enjoyed. If video games are more your style, check out the graphic novel The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 2. The hilarious and then it Happened series by M & L Wade is about to join our library circulation. The Getaway and Tales From a Not-So-Secret Crush Catastrophe, will have Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Dork Diaries fans roaring with laughter. May the force be with our students as they read the 7 new Lego Star Wars books. For Stilton fan s, The Land Before Flowers and The Dragon of Fortune will to take them on a fantasy adventure. For our younger readers, level 1 Berenstain Bear books and Adam Rubin s Dragons Love Tacos, will surely be a hit. 10 new Magic School Bus chapter books are ready to take readers on a voyage into science. The 2018 MYRCA books have been revealed to our student book club members. The library was alive with excitement as each book was introduced.
