Miss Relay Contest Contest Rules: This is a fun, interactive beauty pageant for males of all ages. The object is simple. Dress up to look like the prettiest female at Relay. You will then walk around the track collecting donations from anyone who wishes to help you win. You may do anything necessary (provided it's family-friendly and legal) to obtain donations from people on the track, which may or may not include politely asking, begging, pleading, dancing, being photographed and tagged on Facebook... The person with the most donations will win the title of Miss Relay! At 7:30 pm, the contest begins. Due to the Miss/Mr. Hope Award event taking place on the stage, you may obtain your donation bucket at the Registration Tent and begin collecting donations at this time. At 8:15 pm make your way over to the stage to turn in your buckets, introduce yourself and answer any questions we may have for you. We will announce the winner just as soon as the buckets have been counted!

Miss/Mr. Hope Award Summary: In the past, this contest was designated primarily for the younger folks as a fun activity/fundraiser with the object being to raise the most money. We have decided to replace the fundraising aspect with a new activity and turn the Miss/Mr. Hope into a more prestigious annual award for a member of our community who has made a difference in people s lives relating to the fight against cancer. Miss/Mr. Hope does NOT need to be a cancer survivor to win the award. They can be a caregiver, a team captain, a friend or family member who s determined to find a cure for cancer, etc. Rules: Miss/Mr. Hope is an award for any Miami County resident under the age of 18 to win. You may apply by filling out the entry form below and submit it via to Josh Blackshire at jblackshire@gmail.com or you may turn it in to Josh or Nicole in person. The deadline for applications is April 21st. We will review the submissions and choose three applicants as runner-ups. Those runner-ups will be notified prior to Relay. At 7:30 pm. May 1 Relay for Life, we will read off the entries of our three runner ups and announce who Miss/Mr. Hope will be for 2015 (if our runner ups are present, we will allow the audience to help decide who that may be). It is our hope that our runner ups may be present at Relay to accept the award, but we understand not everyone may be able to attend and we will get their award to them after Relay if necessary. As this is the first year for such event, we may have to modify the rules without prior notice to help ensure things go smoothly. We do apologize if any modifications to the rules cause any inconveniences.

Miss/Mr. Hope Award Application Name: Contact Phone Number: Contact Address: Street Address: City: Age: 1. Survivor (Y/N): 1a. If yes, what were you diagnosed with: 1b. Who helped you the most in getting through your battle and why? 2. Caregiver (Y/N): 2a. If yes, who did you help care for: 2b. How did that experience help strengthen your mission to find a cure for cancer? Why do you feel you deserve to be Miss/Mr. Hope 2015? If you wish to write more, feel free to continue on the back or attach a separate sheet of paper. If you are the parent/guardian of someone who is too young to fill this application out and they wish to apply, you may fill this form out for them. Please return to Josh or Nicole in person or via to jblackshire@gmail.com by April 21st. Thank you!

Frozen T-Shirt Contest If you have never participated in a frozen t-shirt contest, you re missing out! We will have a limited number of t-shirts available for this contest so be ready when it s announced to ensure you don t get left out! Each participant (or team of participants) is issued a t-shirt that has been tied in a knot, soaked in water, and then frozen. The goal appears simple enough. Using only what you have available on you (no knives, lighters, nearby torches, or anything else that can create a safety hazard) thaw the t-shirt enough to untie the knot and put the shirt on. The first person (or team) to put their shirt on wins. Take warning! It s NOT as easy as you think! (Depending on shirt availability, we may split this into two groups kids and adults!)

Road to Recovery Cardboard Car Show This is a new activity for the Relay For Life of Miami County! The Road to Recovery program is a program hosted by the American Cancer Society where volunteers donate their time to help survivors make it to their treatments when they are unable to drive themselves or cannot otherwise obtain a ride. It s been a program for a few years now in other areas, but they are still working to get it off the ground here in Miami County. We figured what would be a better way of raising awareness of this amazing program than by hosting a cardboard car show! Participants (all ages are welcome!)need to gather empty boxes and design a car that they can walk around the track in, either by holding it up, wearing it somehow, or for our younger participants, you may decorate strollers/wagons/etc. to look like cars. Cars can be designed prior to Relay and may be brought out for the activity on Saturday morning! There will be an award issued for the best car on the track during the car show! For more information on the Road to Recovery program, visit:
