2 NEW RH PEP RALLY 09/29 What's up tangs? We have some big news! We have a huge opportunity from King 5 News to show our community just how hyped and spirited Redmond High chool really is. We will be having a pep rally Friday, eptember 29th at 6 a.m. that King 5 will be showcasing. Yes, I said 6 a.m. But delicious food will be provided for FREE. o show up to our pep rally with crazy green and gold spirit gear and roaring energy! P.E. AEMENT AND FITNE PLAN 10/18 PE Credit Option Deadlines Coming up To earn a high school diploma, students must earn two health and fitness credits. 1.5 credits represent the fitness portion of the requirement, and are met by course work in physical education. The other.5 credit is met by taking a health course. ome students may need an alternative option to meet the fitness portion of this requirement. These alternative options are available beginning in the student s 11th grade school year. One option, the Fitness Knowledge Assessment, will be given on October 18. For information on this option and how to sign up, go to the district website. tudents must register by October 17, 3 pm. tudents who want to use a different option, the Fitness Plan, will need to submit their plan by October 18. The Fitness Plan directions are available on the district website. HOMECOMING I RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER 10/14 Homecoming 2017 is right around the corner. Get ready to dance the night away on October 14 th from 8:00 11:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale the week of October 2-6 from the bookkeeper. Get your tickets early for the best price. Guest passes are needed for any non RH student. Applications for guest passes can be picked up in the attendance office and are due back Wednesday before the dance. *Theme to be announced OON! AB HOMECOMING DRE WAP 9/30 Have you found your prefect dress for homecoming? If not, be sure to stop by our AB Dress wap aturday, eptember 30 th from 11:00 2:00 p.m. in the library. Bring a dress if you have one to donate, but donations are not required to take that perfect dress home.

3 UW FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITY 10/3 Now open to junior & seniors!! University of Washington, eattle Campus Visit, Tuesday October 3rd from 8 am until 12 noon. The Redmond High chool College and Career Center is pleased to offer a field trip opportunity to the University of Washington eattle Campus. This trip is open to current juniors & seniors. Our visit will include a walking tour and information session about academics, admissions and life on the UW eattle campus. If you are interested in attending, stop in the College and Career Center to pick up a permission form AAP. Our 50 spots will be filled on a first come first served basis upon return of completed forms. Permission slip due by: eptember 26th. COLLEGE VIIT IN THE CAREER CENTER 9/15 9/22 Next week in the College & Career Center: Our college visits have started! Admission representatives come to RH to meet with you and answer your questions. This is a tremendous opportunity for students. No appointment is necessary and visits are open to all students as well as parents. Need to clean out your closets and/or garage? We would love to have your donations! All donations are tax deductible We ll even help unload your car! All proceeds go to support the RH Theater Arts Program. What to Bring? ports equipment, tools, toys, games, books, CDs/DVDs, jewelry, furniture, housewares, home decor, adult & children s clothing, shoes, Halloween costumes and more! What NOT to bring: Auto parts, mattresses & box springs, building materials (sinks, toilets etc.), lumber, carpet, hot water heaters, large appliances, computers CPUs/Monitors, Venetian blinds, artificial trees & boughs. We reserve the right to not accept a donation we feel we may not be able to sell and of which we will have to dispose PAT/NMQT COMING - 10/11 It s time to take the 2017 PAT/NMQT (Preliminary AT/National Merit cholarship Qualifying Test)! 5 ALL CHOOL PINK OUT DAY I COMING... 10/27 This October, it's time to get your pink on! Our annual RH Pink Out day will be held this year on October 27 th. Please join the RH Pink Ribbon Club on this day to support National Breast Cancer Awareness month. The order form for this year s shirt design is attached here. hirts are pre-ordered and start at only $10. All proceeds from the shirt sales will go towards breast cancer research. Orders are due to the bookkeeper no later than October 2nd. hirts will be distributed October 19 th. ENIOR CHOLARHIP DATA DUE 10/31 Be sure to fill out the enior cholarship Data Form and return it to the College and Career Center. By completing this data form, it will help provide us with information to match you to available opportunities. Forms were ed to all families and can also be found on our Haiku/PL page under the scholarships link. Deadline is 10/31/17. Contact the Career Center if you have questions!
