The last page contains all upcoming recital related dates.

2 PICTURE DAY Moves Dance Studio hires a professional photography company to capture group and individual photos of your dancer in their recital costumes. These photos make a wonderful keepsake each year! Each class has a scheduled picture time (please see your location s picture day schedule) where the class and individual photos will be taken. Moves Picture Day is held at your class location: NORTH AURORA - Sunday, May 6th WHEATON - Sunday, June 3rd Please be sure to attend picture day (even if you are not planning to order pictures). We want to ensure a full group photo for those who are ordering and Moves enjoys showing off these cute and professional photos! If you are unable to attend picture day, please contact the Moves front desk: North Aurora: Wheaton: Please take a close look at the picture day schedule for your assigned ARRIVAL times. Please make sure your dancer is fully ready in their costume with hair and makeup done upon arrival. Your dancers will be escorted by Moves Faculty Members to and from the picture area. Only Moves faculty and dancers taking their picture will be allowed in the photo area. Parents must remain in the lobby. DRESSING ROOMS: North Aurora: The large upstairs studio will be a designated FEMALE dressing room. Wheaton: Studio 1 (the front studio) will be a designated FEMALE dressing room. Only a female adult may accompany their dancer into the female dressing room. All windows will covered. Males: Please use the bathrooms to change if needed. PICTURE ORDERING: TWO Options to Order Photos 1. Picture Order Form - Forms will be handed out to students during class. Students will need 1 order form for EACH dance they are in. 2. Pre-Order Online: pre-order your photos online prior to picture day! Photos must be ordered on or before picture day and you must bring the e-ticket with you to picture day. You will need 1 e-ticket for EACH dance that your child is in. Pre-ordering offers families advantages that aren t available on the traditional forms, such as the option to Build Your Own Package and a multi pose/costume discount. Pre-ordering is open for orders at Studio name: Moves Dance Studio. You will need the following codes when ordering your photos: North Aurora: CH807529X0 Wheaton: CH807528X0 SIBLING PHOTOS: Do you have 2 or 3 children performing in the MOVES recital? Get a sibling photo taken at picture day! Please complete a separate order form/online order. We will take their picture during one of the student s assigned class times. Please make sure you bring your COMPLETED order forms for EACH dance your child is in, or order ahead of time online per the instructions above. You must have a separate order form/online ticket for each dance your child is in. Having these pre-filled out / pre-ordered will ensure we do our best to stay on schedule. PLEASE LABEL ALL SHOES, COSTUMES AND BELONGINGS WITH YOUR CHILD S NAME. MOVES IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS.

3 Wheaton Picture Day Sunday, June 3 rd 2018 Moves - Wheaton Students must arrive in costume with hair and makeup complete by their designated ARRIVAL TIME. We will NOT hold a group picture if you are late for your picture time! MOVES STAFF will bring each class back to the photo area. Group photos and individual photos (if ordering) will be taken during the designated picture time. ONLY MOVES STAFF AND STUDENTS TAKING THEIR PICTURE WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PHOTO AREA. PARENTS MUST REMAIN IN THE LOBBY. Photos will be taken in Studio 3 (back studio). Studio 1 (front studio) will be a designated GIRLS dressing room - all windows will be covered! Only a FEMALE adult may accompany their female dancer into this area. MALE students may use the bathrooms to change if needed. 5 HAIR FOR PICTURES, DRESS REHEARSAL AND RECITAL ALL female dancers (excluding MDC) will wear their hair in a mid-high ballet bun, with no part, for picture day, dress rehearsal and recital. Please ensure that hair is slicked back with gel and hairspray and there are no flyaways. Students with hair too short for a bun - please see your instructor. Please see the instructions below for making a bun:

6 Makeup All female dancers should wear neutral eyeshadow, pink blush, red lipstick, black eyeliner and black mascara for dress rehearsal and recital. Boys do not need to wear makeup. Note: stage makeup should be applied darker/heavier than casual makeup. Your dancers will be under bright lights and darker makeup ensures they do not get washed out and accentuates facial features. Dancers Ages 2-6: Eyeliner and mascara is optional A step-by-step guide is provided below:

7 NEW THIS YEAR: MOVES MESSAGES Give your dancer a SHOUT OUT or LOVE LINE in our annual keepsake dance recital program! It s the perfect way to tell your dancer how proud you are of them! SHOUT OUTS: $25 Includes a quarter page in the program. You will submit a photo and 4-5 sentences letting your dancer know how proud of them you are! Example below: Fallon, you bring so much joy to mommy & daddy! You were adorable on stage! We love you so much! Keep dancing! Mommy & Daddy LOVE LINE: $10 Includes a short & sweet sentence in our program! A fun surprise for your dancer! Katie, great job in your 1st recital! We are so proud of you! 9 HAVE YOU SIGNED UP FOR THE DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE?! One of our studio and audience favorites.moves Daddy Daughter Dance! Sign up your Dad, Brother or Grandpa to dance with your dancer in the recital. They will learn a choreographed routine at two rehearsals and perform in the recital! This is such a fun, memorable experience and is sure to bring a smile.and a few laughs, to your friends and family!
