WHAT IS A SCREAMING EAGLE STUDENT ATHLETE? A Student/Athlete Strive for a 3.25 Must be able to balance A Role Model On and off of the playing surface Character Counts Who you really are-not who you want people to think you are.
SPORTSMANSHIP Expectations of Spectators * Realize that a ticket is a privilege to observe a contest and support the Seneca Valley Screaming Eagles. * Do not verbally harass, taunt, or assault others. Root for your team, not against the opponent. * Respect the decisions that are made by the contest officials. * Be an exemplary role model by positively supporting all the teams in every manner possible. * Respect other fans, coaches, participants, and officials. * ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY!!
Attendance policy In order to participate in any athletic event or practice, athletes are expected to be in ALL of their scheduled classes the day of an event. If a class is missed, only a medical note will allow them to participate in practice or a game. Parental notes do not excuse them for athletic purposes. Unexcused absences or chronic tardiness to class or team practice may be sufficient reason for declaring a student ineligible at any time.
Practice Attendance Policy Team members should notify their coach prior to any practice that they must miss and should offer an adequate explanation for the absence. Chronic tardiness to practice or unexcused absences will be dealt with by these measures taken as follows: 1st Offense- Conference between coach and team member where coach determined appropriate action to make up for lost practice session 2nd Offense- Suspension from next practice session or contest 3 rd Offense- Dismissal from team
Commitment to Excellence BE THE BEST STUDENt BE THE BEST TEAMMATE
COMMUNICATION WITH COACHES
Consequences for improper behavior Seneca Valley athletes and team members will be expected to display appropriate conduct and sportsmanship at all times throughout the season, both on and off the field. Specific violations might include, though are not limited to, fighting, theft, use of improper language and misuse of school facilities and equipment. The conduct of individual athletes reflects on the entire team, the Athletic Department, and the school, and contributes to our overall image and success. 3 Strike Policy 1st offense: Conference between coach & student Athlete and Parent/guardian notified 2nd offense: Suspension from next contest 3rd offense: Dismissal from team

BOOSTER CLUB INFORMATION
Welcome from the Seneca Valley Booster Club What is a Booster Club? The Boosters are parents of athletes that support the Screaming Eagle teams. We serve the student athletes! We do this 2 ways: 1) Sell snacks at games and other school events to hungry fans & audiences (even at temporary locations EX: Home Football games held at Gaithersburg HS) 2) Encourage parents to come cheer at games and help the team with stuff such as snacks, coordinate team fundraisers, plan the banquet
Parent Participation Parents: Please come fill the stands and watch our student athletes play! It makes a HUGE difference to have fans come cheer, especially your own family. Before you know it, your child will be off on their own. This is a great way to connect with your teenager and show them that you care. Want to do more for the whole team? Then help the Coach with team fundraisers, writing highlights for morning announcements, arranging carpools for games without a bus, plan the banquet, etc. The more parents that help with these tasks, the better the experience for the student athletes! This lets the Coach put more time into coaching too! Boosters has GUIDEBOOKS to help parents be involved. There are tips and examples included so that you have everything you need.

Thank You on behalf of the student athletes Need to contact SVHS Boosters? Need this later? Check out the Staff Directory on the MCPS website (not too may Q names) Or AD Jesse Irvin who can forward the Parents: see you in the stands and THANK YOU in advance for helping us sell some snacks!
