In the event that a payment cannot be made on time, written communication with the director is required to establish a plan. All account balances must be paid in full prior to tryouts the following year in order to be eligible. If a Golden Girl is dismissed for disciplinary reasons or decides to leave the team, she is financially responsible for any and all clothing items she has ordered. Injury: If an injury or illness occurs that prevents participation, the member must have a written doctor s/trainer s statement to be excused and/or to be allowed to participate again following the injury. If a Golden Girl is injured, she is expected to attend all practices, games, and events (unless a doctor s note states otherwise) Discipline: Golden Girls will always uphold the rules and reputations of the organization, as well as the school handbook, and the Olathe District Schools Substance Abuse Policy. Please refer to the nonathletic, co-curricular, or extra-curricular activities on the Substance Abuse Policy (second bullet under each offense). Golden Girls are NEVER to engage in any of the following: Drinking, smoking, drugs, and inappropriate behavior with boys. These are not only rules of the team, but also a KSHSAA rule, as well as an Olathe South rule. The team will follow the rules as set up by the KSHSAA and Olathe South. If a member is under the suspicion of having used drugs or alcohol, they will be immediately benched until investigation is complete. Members are NOT permitted to attend functions where alcohol is present. (5-minute rule) Members who attend such functions will not be allowed to perform for a minimum of two weeks. Golden Girls will NOT post anything to a social media site (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, etc.) that is deemed inappropriate or demeaning to the organization, to any other individual, or personally inappropriate according to the rules of the organization. Director/Administrator discretion will determine action. o If asked to take something off social media, the member must do so immediately. Failure to do so will result in benching for a minimum of one performance. Golden Girls will not participate in non-school sanctioned activities such as skip days or pranks of any kind. Removal from the team requires a conference with the director, the member, the member s parent/guardian, and the activities director.
