2 Attention students----if you are on a sport team or a club and wish to have a vehicle in the parade, please make sure your adviser or coach turns in the vehicle registration form by Wednesday October 10th. ONLY ADRIAN HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS AND SPORTS MAY HAVE A VEHICLE IN THE PARADE.
3 Today s Sporting Events Varsity Ypsilanti
4 If you have not already been measured for a cap and gown, your next opportunity is Tuesday, October 14th. THIS IS A CHANGE IN THE ORIGINAL DATE and gives you one additional week to prepare. A $50 fee is required to get measured. This can be cash or a check made out to Scholastic Enterprises. After October 14th you will be required to contact the company on your own and will be charged a $5 late fee. All students who wish to march in graduation MUST have this done by Thursday, April 2nd.
5 1. Attention Maple Tech Crew - Our float of the parade will be built after school on Wednesday and Thursday, until 5pm. Meet at the theatre. 2. The Tech Crew Letter is now available for High School students who are interested in Volunteering for the 5-6 Musical, Aristocats. Stop by Ms. Olgren's room, A-223, to pick up the schedule and for additional information. All students interested in helping with Lights, Sound, Backstage are welcome.
6 Attention all students who have signed up for the Blood drive on Monday. This is just a reminder to HYDRATE, IRON UP and eat a good breakfast before school on Monday. This will insure that you have a better chance of giving blood and helping save a life.
7 Picture retakes with take place on Wednesday, October 8 th during the school day. Packets are available in the main office.
8 Attention Honor Society members, your monthly meeting is Wednesday, October 8 7:15 in the Global Learning Center. Do not forget to pay your dues or turn in your contracts, both are very important!
9 "Homework Help will start Tuesday, October 7 from 3-4PM in the library. Homework help will be every Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday until the end of the trimester. Please come with your missing or current assignments and use this time to improve your grades. See you there."
10 Sports results Girls swim and dive lost to Chelsea last night 116 to 70. Taking first for the Maples were Carolyn Roberts in the 50 and 500 free Victoria Mueller in the 100 back Others having a good performances were Sam Merritt, Julie Tokarz, Nicole McCann, Alexis Howarth, Abby Deemer and Lauren Henricks. The Maples Varsity soccer team hosted #7 ranked Dexter last night and fell in a much improved effort 5-0. Andrew DeVries recorded 16 saves in goal for the Maples. The JV fell 8-1 as Royce Ohlinger scored the Maple goal and his third of the week.
11 The Freshmen Volleyball Team took first Place at the Tecumseh Quad Thursday night. The Maples defeated Onsted and Tecumseh in 2 sets and Blissfield in 3 sets.
12 Attention Seniors We have the opportunity to bring senior quotes back in the yearbook! However, we need every senior to turn one in by Christmas break. If you don t, we have a great list of default quotes you can choose from. We need every senior to have one, whether it s your own or one of the defaults, or else we can t do them at all Please turn senior quotes in by Christmas break to Autumn Northcutt or Katie Daggett!
13 Attention Sophomores: Homecoming Kick-Off will happen this Sunday (10/5) at the Fair Grounds from 2-6 p.m. There will be pizza and prizes for students who come out to help their classes and have some fun. See your class adviser for more information Attention Freshman: Please stop by and Mrs. Hemphill s room today and let her know if you will be attending the Kick-off on Sunday.
14 ATTENTION STUDENTS AND STAFF-- The Student Senate is holding its annual Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday October 6th. Anyone aged 16 and older may donate however 16 year olds must have a parent permission slip to sign up. These are available at lunch in the cafeteria. See Fabian Gonzalez and Nathan Fischer during both lunches to sign up, sign ups will begin from Tuesday September 23 through Friday October 3rd. No walk in appointments will be taken the day of the blood drive, you must sign up ahead of time!
15 If there are any sophomores and International Students who missed the informational meeting for the Washington DC Trip and are still interested in the trip, please stop by Mrs. Ewing room A 204 to collect materials.
16 Bowling If you are a boy or girl interesting in being on the bowling team. You must sign up in the Athletic Office by October 3 rd. All new and returning bowlers must sign up.
17 Jazz Dance Classes begin Tuesday October 7 in the theater. These free classes run every Tuesday from 3-3:45 and are open to any student grades If you are interested in strengthening your core, auditioning for shows, preparing for gymnastics, cheerleading or Competitive Cheer please join us! our 1st performance will be THRILLER with costumes and makeup and 3 public performances! Tuesdays, 3-3:45 starting october 7!
18 The next segment 1 class for Maple City Driving will start on October 6 th right after school in room A100. Registration forms can be picked up in the main office.
19 Come to the school bookstore after school, located at the bottom of the ramp, to purchase your student section shirt. They will be sold for $8 a shirt. If you purchase after school, you will receive a free whistle. Limited sizes available. The bookstore will be open everyday.
20 Auditions for AHS fall play, Friday October 3 from 6:30-9 in theater and Monday October 6 from 5:30-7. The show is a comedy and HILLARIOUS!! Mrs. Erin Yuen will be directing. Scripts will be available in Ms. Barricklow's room, and on line. The show runs November 20,21, 22 Only funny people need apply!!
21 A cell phone was found at last Friday's football game vs. Chelsea. If you are missing your phone, please come to the athletic office to identify it.
22 Attention 10th graders and international students, if you would like information about the Washington DC Trip or need to turn in deposits please see Mr. Jacobs. Reminder: the deposit for the trip is due October 10th.
