1 Kingsway Elite Recreational Cheerleading Registration Information Registration Dates: Priority Registration - - Returning Elite Members Friday 3/21 from 7pm-8:30pm Saturday 3/22 from 10am-11:30am Priority Registrations must be received by the deadline (Saturday 3/22 at 11:30am). Any registrations received after this deadline will be treated as a New Member which means your child will be subject to an evaluation for any open positions on the team and/or placed on a Waiting List if there are no open positions (if the team is filled during Priority Registration). Open Registration - - New Members Friday 4/4 from 7pm-8:30pm Saturday 4/5 from 10am-11:30am New members will be subject to an evaluation for any open positions on the team. If there are no open positions, your name will be placed on a Waiting List. Registration Location: Woolwich Municipal Building, 120 Village Green Drive, Woolwich Township, NJ Forms: The following information will be needed to register: 1. Registration payment (see payment schedule below) 2. Registration form 3. Rules & Regulations 4. Code of Conduct 5. Disciplinary Action 6. Photo Authorization 7. Copy of your health insurance card (everyone must bring) 8. Copy of your child s birth certificate (New Members only) Teams: Team placement is determined by age as of October 1 st, 2014 and grade for the 2014/2015 school year. Pompom ages 5 & 6 grades K & 1 Freshman ages 7 & 8 grades 2 & 3 Sophomore ages 9 & 10 grades 4 & 5 Junior ages 11& 12 grades 6 & 7 Senior ages 13 & 14 grades 8 & 9 Senior Rec ages grades Kingsway Elite reserves the right to add or combine teams based on registration numbers. There will be evaluations for all new members sometime in Mid-May, date to be determined. Full refunds will be issued to any registrant not chosen for a team.
2 Cost: The cost of our program includes: Registration Fee = $350 for the 1 st child, $300 for 2 nd, $275 for 3 rd, $250 for 4 th. (Uniform use, practice space rental, choreography fee, most competition fees, competition hair bow for new members, and practice gear are included in the registration cost.) Sports & More Camp Fee = $125 per child. Fundraising Fee=$120 per family. There will be a mandatory fundraiser in October More information will be given at a later date. The camp fee needs to be mailed to PO Box 384, Swedesboro, NJ by 6/30/14 or your child may not be able to attend camp. All fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the season. Any child with an outstanding balance will not be eligible to practice with the team until the balance is paid. Failure to pay will result in removal from the team. Additional parent expenses may include cheer sneakers, bloomers, and US Finals competition fees. Additional information: Pre-camp practices A few practices will be held prior to choreography camp to assess the team s abilities & to form stunt groups. Depending on the coach s preference, these practices may be held in June before the end of school or in July prior to camp. Choreography camp - Mandatory choreography camps for each team will be held in late July/early August. This camp is Mandatory. Practices - Team practices will begin after choreography camp & continue through the end of the Fall season (late-november). Practices will be held primarily at cheerleading facilities (Sports N More, Jersey Pride). Attendance at all practices is required. Fall competition season - The Fall competition season will run mid-october thru mid-december. The teams will compete in 4 to 6 scheduled competitions throughout the Fall season. A tentative competition schedule will be sent as soon as it is finalized by the coaches. Additional competitions may be added. Separate fees may apply for these competitions (ex: US Finals). Every child will be expected to attend all of the scheduled competitions and practices. Please note Our teams compete & practice during the break for NJ Teacher s Conference. Please don t schedule vacations during this time.
3 Basketball cheering - In addition to our Fall season, we also cheer for East Greenwich Youth Basketball in the Winter, usually January and February. Attendance at these games is mandatory. US Finals (date to be determined, usually early May) - If the team qualifies for US Finals, the teams will attend this event in It us usually held in the beginning of May, date has yet to be finalized. Practices for US Finals are held in March, April, and the 1 st week in May. Please be aware of the time commitment necessary to prepare for US Finals. We may also attend a competition in late March/April of 2015 before US Finals. Uniforms shall remain the property of Kingsway Elite Cheerleading and will be collected at the end of the season.

I and my legal heirs, do hereby discharge, waive and release and covenant not to sue for any and all claims of damage I may have against the above named individuals and association. The insurance policy of the Kingsway Elite Recreational Cheerleading will be secondary to any existing insurance. I understand that in my absence, emergency medical treatment may be administered to my child until such time I can be contacted. 6 Kingsway Elite Recreational Cheerleading Rules & Regulations Attire: No jewelry will be worn in practice or at competition. Nails need to be kept at a reasonable length for the safety of all. No fake nails are allowed for practices or competition. Nail polish is not allowed for competition. When in uniform at competition, cheerleaders are representing our organization. As such, we ask that they maintain a well-groomed, respectable appearance (before, during and after their performance). No bare bellies (i.e. sports bras without shells) or shortie shorts (i.e. wearing just bloomers without skirts on) while wearing the Kingsway Elite uniform. During awards ceremonies, all Kingsway Elite cheerleaders should be in full uniform (bow, top, skirt, cheer sneakers). Absences/Lateness: Members must attend ALL COMPETITIONS. Any extenuating circumstance must be discussed with a coach immediately upon joining Kingsway Elite. Please be mindful that you are part of a team where your attendance affects you and all other members of your team. When cheerleaders are absent, their stunt group cannot practice! If you are sick and non-contagious, please make every effort to attend practice. Lightly participating and / or watching practice will help you and your team. If an absence is unavoidable, please notify your coach as soon as possible prior to practice. Unexcused absences from practice or competition will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the team. Please arrive at practice on time so your child does not miss any of the warm up. Please pick up your child promptly after practice. Behavior Disruptive and/or disrespectful behavior, including any type of bullying, will not be tolerated. Members may be asked to sit out of practice or leave the building if this behavior is displayed. If your daughter is having an issue with another cheerleader, please discuss with her coach. Failure to comply with the above Rules and Regulations will result in a conference with a coach, parents and board member to discuss the infraction and consequences. If the behavior continues, Kingsway Elite Cheerleading reserves the right to dismiss the member from the program. If the member is dismissed for failure to comply with Rules and Regulations, all fees paid to date are non-refundable. Should you decide to discontinue instruction with the Kingsway Elite Cheerleading organization prior to the end of the season, all fees paid to date are non-refundable. Child s Name: Parent initials:
7 Code of Conduct for Participants & Parents Participants/Parents should respect each Player s decision to participate in sports, supporting the respective Player s desire to play the sport for their enjoyment. Participants/Parents should be a role model of good sportsmanship showing respect for all other Coaches, Volunteers, Officials, Players, Parents/Guardians, Opponents, Kingsway Elite Cheerleading Board Members and Kingsway Tri-County Supervisors, Employees and Officials. Parents/Guardians will recognize the importance of Volunteer Coaches and support the Program. Participants/Parents will respect all Coaches decisions with regard to any and all team issues. Any disagreement with a coach will result in a scheduled meeting that includes the Parent of the Participant, Coach and Board Members. Under NO circumstances is a Coach to be approached before, during or after practice or in front of any other Parent/Participant with regard to a conflict or issue. Participants/Parents will not engage in unacceptable behavior toward or involving other Coaches, Volunteers, Officials, Players, Parents/Guardians, or Kingsway Elite Cheerleading Board Members while at any Kingsway Elite related sporting event, practice or meeting. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to the following: using foul or abusive language or gestures, physical or verbal confrontations or fights, slanderous or libelous remarks or statements, threats, intimidation, or crimes punishable by Civil or Criminal Laws. Any infraction of this Code of Conduct may result in Disciplinary Action by the Kingsway Elite Cheerleading Board of Directors, up to and including immediate expulsion from the Kingsway Elite Cheerleading program. I fully understand the commitment and behavior needed to be a member of the Kingsway Elite Cheerleading program. I agree to comply with the above Rules and Regulations and Parent/Participant Code of Conduct and understand all consequences if the Rules and Regulations and Code of Conduct are not followed. 8 Disciplinary Action 2014 The above Rules and Regulations and Parent/Participant Code of Conduct are to be followed by all Participants, Parents/Guardians and Coaches within the Kingsway Elite Cheerleading organization. 1st Warning: Verbal warning to cheerleader, parent or guardian (if cheerleader, parent or guardian will be notified). 2nd Warning: Meeting scheduled with parent/guardian, coach and board member. 3rd Warning: Dismissal from cheer squad for the remainder of the season. The purpose of these actions is to institute a positive, fair cheering program which will give each cheerleader an equal opportunity. The Kingsway Elite Cheerleading Board Members reserve the right to implement immediate expulsion of any Participant or Parent based upon the severity of any infraction of the Rules and Regulations or Parent/Participant Code of Conduct.
