2 1. LAKESIDE Beautiful afternoon, Charlotte, a pretty and young woman, is sitting by the shore, looking towards the lake. Emma, with a bit of melancholy, is standing at a distance, then she walks towards Charlotte gradually. HAS AN EPISODE OF EAR RINGS. HOSPITAL, A DOCTOR'S OFFICE Emma is sitting across the table from the doctor. A CT scan of a human skull is on the lightbox. Doctor puts a bottle of pills on the table Emma nods. DOCTOR You have to start taking these new pills now. (sighs) And if you don't, your next seizure could knock you into a persistent vegetative state. DOCTOR (CONT'D) Take it every night before you go to sleep. Set an alarm so that you won't forget. It should also help with your migraines and hallucinations. OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE IN THE HALLWAY Charlotte is waiting for Emma outside. Emma walks out. Charlotte stands up. Emma, how did it go? I was so worried about you. Charlotte kisses Emma. Emma nods. The doctor said I should be better with these pills. Hope these will help. That's nice! I'm sure they will. Come on, let's go home.

3 AND ARE DRIVING HOME. IN A CAR TOGETHER, SMILING AND ROMANTIC AND SHIT. 2. 'S ROOM Emma and Charlotte enter their room. The room is cluttered but not too messy. A lot of personal stuff is lying around. Couple of their pictures are on the shelf and on the wall. Emma takes out that bottle and picks out a pill, hesitating. Charlotte walks towards Emma. Relax. Take the pill, everything will be OK. (Smiles) Okay. Emma swallows the pill. Camera pans to their pictures on the wall, on the shelf and such. Emma and Charlotte are sleeping on their bed together. They kiss each other good night. Camera lifts up. Fade. 'S DREAM A couple of dream sequence of them happily together inserted here. E.g. They are on a road trip together. Dining together. Hanging out on a beach together. Taking a walk in a park together. The last flashback is when Emma has an episode and falls to the ground. With different sounds in the background (ambulance, doctors voice) THE NEXT MORNING,'S ROOM Emma wakes up, finding Charlotte is not by her side anymore. Charlotte? Emma gets up from her bed and walks out of her room and starts looking for Charlotte. Camera pans to those pictures shown before, showing there is only Emma in those frames, REVEALING THAT IS ONLY 'S HALLUCINATION.

4 3. MONTAGE of Emma visiting those places (park, beach, restaurants and such) Emma comes back, sad and lost. Realizing the pills are probably preventing her from seeing Charlotte. MONTAGE OF DIFFERENT PLACES, A COUPLE MONTHS For weeks, Emma still goes to the places that they've been to a lot and waits for something to happen. (She reads books, listens to music at those places) (Inserts of crossing off the dates on calendar) (Montage shots of Emma taking the pill every night) AFTER CROSSING OFF MONTHS OF CELLS ON THE CALENDAR, REACHES A BLOCK MARKED AS THEIR 4TH ANNIVERSARY. AT A BAR Emma has a few drinks at a bar, still thinking about Charlotte and their upcoming anniversary. 'S ROOM Emma goes home drunk, forgets to take her pills, and goes to sleep. THE NEXT DAY, 'S ROOM Emma wakes up, a bit headaches and ear ringing. She still goes out for Charlotte like her routine. IN A PARK Emma goes to their favorite place in the park, then she sees Charlotte is sitting on a bench facing away from her. She walks towards Charlotte gradually from the back. She tries to put her hand on Charlotte's shoulder. Her ears ring again. Exiting to a wide shot, Charlotte disappears. Emma is standing alone behind the bench. 'S ROOM Emma grabs that bottle of pills, hesitates, and puts it in her bag.

5 4. THE NEXT DAY, AT A LAKESIDE Emma is standing on a shore, holding on to her bottle of pills in her hand, staring into the distance. She then looks at the bottle, decides to throw it away. Shortly after, her ears ring again, and she falls to the ground. She hears sounds of ambulance, nurses and doctors, Charlotte's voice and etc. Fades to WHITE. AT A HOSPITAL (OPTIONAL SCENE) Emma is lying on the bed, unconsciously with a monitoring device beeping, surrounded by doctors, nurses. One of the doctor has that bottle of pills in his hand. LAKESIDE Charlotte is sitting by the shore, looking towards the lake. Emma is standing at a distance, then she walks towards Charlotte slowly. As Emma reaches Charlotte, she tries to put her hand on Charlotte's shoulder, but Charlotte turns around before that. Emma? Happy anniversary.(smiles) Now I can be with you forever. Charlotte smiles back, and they kiss. THE END
