1 Dear Parents & Dancers, Snowflake Soiree Note #2 Sunday, December 10th, 2017 at Monarch High School Theater Our Winter Showcase, A Snowflake Soiree, is quickly approaching. Below is important information about the performance. This concert will feature all of our Daisy, Sunflower, Lilac, Violet, Rose and Friday Boys Hip Hop classes. Location: Monarch High School Theatre Date: Sunday, December 10, 2017 (dress rehearsal and performance take place on the same day) Time: Dress Rehearsal 11:45am-1:45pm (dancers please arrive in full costume, hair and make-up). The rehearsal has three arrival times, based on the show order and are included in this packet. Dancers and parents will enter the theater and find the row labeled with their class. Parents will sit in the row behind their dancer. Dancers will be able to watch their fellow dancers during dress rehearsal. Photos and videography is permitted during the dress rehearsal but not the performance. Thank you for your understanding. Professional photographs of the performance will be available to purchase and download a few weeks following the performance. Performance Check In 2:40pm One parent will check in their dancer in the theatre hallway on the left side of the main school entrance in full costume, hair and make-up. Dancers will be backstage during the duration of the hour long performance with quiet activities and several staff members. The show will begin at 3pm SHARP! Costumes: Dancer s costumes are based on required class attire and items from home, and are included in this packet and will be posted in the dance hallway. The performance/events page on also has the detailed information regarding the performance and costumes. Performance Ready Tips (Stage Makeup, Hair, General Etiquette): *Light stage makeup are encouraged so the dancer s face isn t washed out by the stage lights. This includes mascara, blush, lip gloss or lipstick *Unless specified under their costume information hair should be pulled securely back in a ponytail, braid or bun with barrettes, bobby pins and hair elastics that match the dancer s hair color. *Older dancers should wear nude undergarments for quick changes and a reminder that no underwear or sports bras should be worn with leotards and tights. * All nail polish and jewelry should be removed (with the exception of stud earrings) Admission: Admission to the show is free of charge. The theatre will open at 2:40pm. Invite your family and friends! Following our Snowflake Soiree your dancer will have fun filled classes to finish out the semester. December 11th-16th will be our mix it up week where dancers are invited to participate in any additional classes in their same level for free. December classes will culminate with special events including our inhouse Winterfest celebrations, showcases and master classes with our winter break beginning Friday, December 22nd.
