4 Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores and freshmen: What are you doing on Saturday mornings? Every Saturday morning you could be coming right back here to The Mill! for Saturday School. Saturday school is staffed with teachers to help you in all classes.

5 They will help you with in Particular math. Math of all kinds, reading, social studies and this year ESOL as well. In the very near future Ms. Weatherford, Ms. Petit, Ms. Sandhu, Mr. Steitler and Ms. Reese will all have a three week lecture series on Saturdays. Please see them for specific dates. 6 Attention any seniors who ordered a homecoming shirt. Come and see Ms. Young in Room B112 at STEP to pick it up. There are also a few extra shirts for those seniors who missed the deadline. See you there!!

7 October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying hurts everyone whether its name calling, playing jokes or tricks on someone, physically hurting someone or cyber abuse. During the month of October, you can support the anti-bullying campaign by signing the poster located outside the health room. After you sign, stop in the health room and pick up a wrist band for showing your support. Thank you

8 Also, seniors there senior class meeting will be on Wednesday October 14 th in the auditorium. The meeting starts at 8:00 sharp. We will be taking the senior panoramic picture at the beginning of this meeting as well as taking care of other important business. Be there on time.

9 The Homecoming Dance has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 24 th. If you have already purchased a ticket, you DO NOT need to purchase or exchange for a new ticket. If you have not bought a ticket yet, they will go on sale starting Monday, October 19 th at STEP in the Mixing Bowl. They are still $20. If you need a refund because you can no longer attend, bring the ticket during the week of the 19 th to the ticket sales table during STEP. You MUST have the ticket for a refund.

10 Guest forms are available in the Main Office. It must be completely filled out, with all appropriate signatures, in order to buy the guest s ticket. If you have an obligation, you will not be sold a ticket. Questions? See Ms. Squier in b102.

11 Students, Are you eligible and want to get your driver learner s permit? If so, the MVA will be offering the test here at Watkins Mill High School this Saturday, October 10th. There are permission forms in the main office. The forms are due back to the main office no later than this Wednesday, October 7th.

12 MONTGOMERY COLLEGE IS HOSTING A SCHOLARSHIP CONFERENCE NEXT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 AT THE UNIVERSITIES OF SHADY GROVE IN ROCKVILLE. ATTEND WORKSHOPS AND LEARN ABOUT SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. STOP BY THE CAREER CENTER FOR MORE INFO.
