2 ROCKET REVIEW 2 BOX TOP We hope everyone had a GREAT Spring Break!!! From now until May 24 (last day of school!) we want to really push our Smoky Row families to collect Box Tops! Every student should have brought home a Meijer Box Tops flyer for April. From April 19 May 2 you can earn 20 Bonus Box Tops when you purchase any 5 or more participating Totino s products, Old El Paso products or Pillsbury Refrigerated Dough products in a single transaction. What an easy way to help Smoky Row! You will also notice on the other side of the Meijer s flyer 20 spots for Box Tops! How great if everyone could fill those spaces with Box Tops and turn in the flyer!!! Our April 20 winner of the Dairy Queen gift card will be published in the next Rocket Review. 3 ROCKET REVIEW 3 Muffins With Mom: The Annual Muffins with Mom event is scheduled for Friday, May 4, 2012 in the School Cafeteria. All moms are welcome to share in this special event with their children prior to the start of school (7 am to 8 am). Smoky Row Dads will be putting on the event in honor of all the great Smoky Row moms. A special call out to all Smoky Row dads to assist with set-up for the event. The set-up will be on Thursday evening, May 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. in the Smoky Row Cafeteria. This will take no longer than 45 minutes. 6 ROCKET REVIEW 6 Summer Celebration Smoky Row Talent Show! Friday, May 4, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. Smoky Row Auditorium It's that time of year again for all SRE students to show their talents! Everyone is invited to perform his unique talent individually or with a group. You may include a family member or friend in your routine if you wish! ALL ACTS, SOLO OR GROUP, CAN BE UP TO ONE MINUTE LONG. Practices for Kindergarten, second and fourth grades will be Monday, April 30th at 2:30 p.m. after school. Practices for First, third and fifth grades will be Tuesday, May 1st at 2:30 p.m. after school. There will be a Mandatory dress rehearsal Thursday, May 3rd at 4:30 p.m. This year's show will have a summer celebration theme, but you are not required to do a summer themed routine. Start spreading the news! Get your friends, family, neighbors & anyone you can think of to attend the best variety show ever at Smoky Row! 9 ROCKET REVIEW 9 Children's Museum Event -- THANK YOU A HUGE thank you to the PTO for sponsoring the Children s Museum National Geographic Treasures of the Earth event at Smoky Row. Close to 400 people were in attendance and there were some very interesting hands-on activities for our families! Also thanks to Mrs. Barrett, the Smoky Row Staff, and the many volunteers who helped make the night a success! We would not have been able to have the program without you!
