Forty public school teachers and eight independent school teachers are being honored! Way to go Miss Karen! Weather-Related School Closings: If AA County Schools close for the day, SPN will also be closed. For early closings, SPN closes the same time as AA County. In the event of a 2-hour delay, part-time PREK students may bring a packed lunch and stay for the rest of the school day. 3 Come to St. Philip Neri s New Year s Eve Bash! Start the 2018 New Year with evening Mass and then celebrate up to midnight with good food, drink, and live music! Coordinate with other parents from your child s class and get a table for 8! Purchase a whole table and get a $100 discount (8 tickets for $700). All proceeds go to support the restoration of our church. See the attached flyer. St. Philip Neri s 1 st Annual Golf Tournament FRIDAY, APRIL 20 The address for Rocky Point Golf Course is 1935 Back River Neck Rd, Essex, MD Their phone number is We will be there at 7:00 AM, but Registration will officially open at 8:00 AM. The range will be open and balls will be provided by the course. We will be offering bagels, donuts and coffee for you when you arrive. There will be a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. There will be several contest holes including closest to the pin for par 3 s, Longest Drive Contest, and team awards for 1 st, 2 nd and last place. We will offer a Mulligan Package for $20 donation. The package includes one mulligan and a chance to take part in our Putting Contest and 3 tickets for chances to win door prizes. We will also have a 50/50 drawing. Tickets will be $5 each or an arm s length for $10. Lunch is being catered by Glory Days Grill. There will be complimentary beverages including beer, soda, Gatorade, and water (two roaming carts and one cart stationed at the turn). Immediately following the tournament, golfers will reconvene for lunch, a brief awards ceremony, 50/50 drawing and prize distribution. Cost is $125/golfer. We are looking for sponsors for this event! 7 One of the junior Girl Scout troops at SPN concluded their first aid badge by taking a tour of Kindermender. They made splints out of sticks and also saw how different items show up on an Xray.

8 Girl Scout Troop 624 visited Arundel Woods Senior Center last week. They performed two dances and sang Rudolph to the residents. Afterwards they enjoyed juice and cookies. Thanks to our Girl Scout Troop for spreading the Christmas cheer! Congratulations to Aeryn Robinson on receiving the Sacrament of Baptism in the Catholic faith!
