1 MAY 11, 2018 Jaguar Journal All you need to know about Jefferson Elementary Follow us on Facebook Jefferson Elementary School Kung Fu in Gym Our students had the opportunity to be taught by Master Sifu Gino of the Shaolin Kung Fu Institute in the basic skills of Kung Fu. Students were taught about discipline, identifying bullies, and a plan of action if put into a situation with a bully. The students were given a flyer to take home with additional information on classes that are available in Willoughby Hills. Thank you Master Sifu for some great lessons! 2 Kindergarten Registration IS YOUR CHILD 5?! THEN ITS TIME FOR SCHOOL!!! TELL A FRIEND! Please call the office to make an appointment to register. If you do not register by the end of the school year you will need to register at the board office. Your child must be 5 years old on or before August 1,2018 to be eligible to be enrolled in Kindergarten. If you need more information or are unsure of what you need to bring to register your child call the office at THANK YOU!!! We want to express our gratitude to all of those who went out and voted. Issue #2 passed because of you and your support! THANK YOU for helping to keep our schools great! Field Day Information Friday, May 18th Must send in your volunteer sheet to attend. Students can bring water bottles and suntan lotion. Dress for the weather!! Wear appropriate shoes! Sneakers ONLY! 3 WALKER/ LOOP REMINDERS As the weather gets warmer more students will begin to walk again. Please make sure we are aware of them walking through the lot If you are going to park in the gravel lot please remember to stay on that side. You cannot come over and wait in front of the side doors We appreciate your patience and understanding as we do all we can to keep our students safe Through our box top program this year our school earned $308!! Thank you for all your support and turning in those box tops! Be sure to save them over the summer to turn them in at the beginning of next year! Looking for Activities? Looking for Community Youth Activities? Information from approved organizations who host activities for Willoughby-East lake youth are now posted electronically. Paper flyers are no longer sent home with student s. To access the flyers, there is a link on the district home page, on each of t he K-12 building pages, and under the Parent 's Page. Just look for the COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES heading for access to the flyers about student events. For specific information about the events, you need to contact the sponsoring organization. Reminder!
