Marsh Creek Water Watchers/Envirothon Club is open to all students at Marsh Creek. Students will meet most Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-4:25 in room B321 with Mrs. Brook, the Science teacher on Team D. Students can sign up any time throughout the year. Students will begin the year learning about our local streams and watershed. We will learn how to perform tests to determine the quality of the water in our local steams. You ALL will learn about this at your overnight trip to Paradise Farm and in your Science class. When the weather gets bad, we will begin to prepare for the Envirothon, an academic competition about our environment. This event is held at Hibernia Park in early May. If YOU would like to learn more about this club, pick up a permission slip outside of Mrs. Brook s room B321 (Blue House, 3 rd floor) before school or during Advisory. For anyone who has asked about Art Club or who is interested in joining, Mrs. Marsden will be handing out permission slips in B102. There will only be 35 spaces available and membership will be given on a first come first serve basis with returned slips. Please see Mrs. Marsden TODAY if you would like an Art Club permission slip. If you ed service desk recently to place a service ticket for a problem you may be having with your ipad, please check your to make sure you received a confirmation from service desk that they received it. If you did NOT, please send another to the service desk describing your problem (servicedesk@dasd.org). For any student that placed a SERVICE TICKET because they were missing the HAC app.. Please do a hard reset with your ipad. This can be done by pressing the power and home keys together at the same time. You will see a black screen appear after doing this and then the apple will appear indicating that your reset was successful. Check back after a couple of hours to see if the HAC app appears on your ipad. If not, please see Mrs. DiGiovanni in Room A111. If anyone is interested in the Girls on the Run program for middle school called Heart & Sole, please come to Miss Lascelle s room (B316) for a registration information flyer. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Flyers are posted outside of B316. Miss Lascelle and Mrs. Schatz will be running the program that meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-5:00 from Tuesday, September 19 th to Saturday, December 2 nd with a 5K run at Downingtown West. You must have a ride home as we end after the activity buses leave. If you were involved in Girls on the Run in elementary school, then this is the program for you! Come join us and have fun! Here is a very important announcement from Magazine Dude: Good morning Marsh Creek Students - Yesterday we officially kicked off our big, annual Magazine Madness Fundraiser. We can reach our $60,000 goal if each student participates and sells a minimum of 3 magazine orders online. Last night, A LOT of you got started right away! In fact, within 2 hours of you getting home, over 300 of you completed registration at APMAGS.com/MARSHCREEK by entering 12 or more valid addresses. Over s were sent last night letting your supporters know that your online stores are up for business! Great job! Another 154 of you registered and created your Avatar, but did not launch your campaign with at least 12 addresses. In order to receive your Siesta Sofa Air Chair, you ll need to log back in before Monday night to make sure at least 12 addresses have been entered and successfully sent out through your APMAGS.com/MARSHCREEK online store.
