1 Welcome to the Texas Elite Dance Program. We are very excited to kick off our 3 rd year of our Texas Elite Hip Hop program!! The sport of All Star Dance has grown immensely over the past 10 years. This is due in part to all the Television shows such as ABDC, SYTYCD and America s Got Talent. As the sport developed and grew, more and more athletes and their parents viewed All Star Dance as a viable activity in and of itself. As stronger and stronger athletes began to recognize that All Star provided them a way to focus more on teamwork and athleticism, the sport began to separate itself from the traditional stereotypes. Teams and athletes in All-Star now focus on musicality, tricks, turns, leaps and showmanship. Our dance teams will attend 4 competitions throughout the year. We will strive to put the best teams and routines together to make an award winning performance. We will have out of house choreography to give our program a unique style. With all of our staff combined we have no doubt that our dance program will have another successful season. All Star Dance is a great way for young athletes to learn new skills while building teamwork, goal setting, sportsmanship, and numerous other social skills along with making lifelong friendships. We hope that you are pleased with our program and decide to join the Texas Elite family in another year of success. Dance Team Practices: We will start our season in one big group in order to get to know the athletes and see the different strengths of all the members. This is a lot like the tumbling groups that we use for our cheer teams, but we will instead work on tricking, memorization of combos, and strengthening. The first big group practice for Hip Hop will take place on Monday, May 1 st. The class will run from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. and we will remain in this large class until Monday, May 29 th when we will announce actual hip hop teams for the season. Hip Hop athletes will have a special guest instructor in their practice on Monday, May 22 nd. They will be working on advanced skills, tricks, and combos. We are excited to offer this experience with our wonderful guest instructor for the day and we know that it will help strengthen our athletes and teams.

4 ** Parent Portal ** Texas Elite is very excited to offer the parent portal as part of our online system for teams and class athletes. The parent portal is a safe and secure part of our site that will allow you to gain access to schedules and sign up for classes, events, and camps. This portal will also allow you to view your account and pay your bill online, as well as update your credit card information when it expires or changes. Step 1: Set Up Account - Go to New to Texas Elite - If new to Texas Elite you will need to click Create Account (This will be on the main screen, the account log in on the side screen (Members Area) is not the correct log in to use for this portal) - Follow the remainder of instructions to complete the set up. Current and Previous Texas Elite Family s ** IF YOU ARE A CURRENT MEMBER AND HAVE REGISTERED AND USE THE PORTAL.. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RE- REGISTER. YOUR OLD LOG IN INFORMATION WILL WORK. ** - If a previous member of Texas Elite and have not used the portal you will click Parent Log In - The address that you provided last year or from this year will be the address to enter into the address area - The system will generate a password for you and you will be able to log in once you receive the from IClass Pro. - This will allow you to see all of you past and present statement information and will allow you to alter any information already entered into the system. 5 Texas Elite General Information Contract NO GOSSIP about any other team. No GOSSIP about another team member at Texas Elite No profanity or abusive language. Parents demonstrating bad behavior/negative talk will be removed from Texas Elite. All squad and routine decisions are left to the discretion of Ryan. PRACTICES AND PRACTICE TIMES MAY BE CHANGED AND/OR ADDED THROUGOUT THE SEASON SOMETIMES WITH LITTLE NOTICE. Anyone threatening to quit or pull his/her child from a team will be dismissed from the program immediately. It is the athlete s responsibility to know what is going on with your squad at all times. ALL communication is primarily done by . Check your s regularly! NON-PARTCIPATION REGARDING PRACTICES AND COMPETITIONS ARE NOT TO BE USED AS PUNISHMENT FOR YOUR CHILDS ACTIONS OUTSIDE OF THE GYM. You not only punish your child, but every child and parent on the team. Athletes missing more than the allowed number of practices (4 per year) will be removed. We will do our best to work with your extra curricular activity at school; however if the extra curricular coach refuses to work with our mandatory practices or competitions, you will have to choose which activity you will continue. Each athlete must have a chaperone at every competition. It is not your coach s responsibility to be your child s chaperone. Parents, relatives, friends and athletes are not allowed to speak with competition officials for ANY reason. All Texas Elite athletes and family members will show good sportsmanship at ALL times. There will be no arguing or questioning the coaching staff s decisions at ANY time. All Tuition must be paid on the first of ever month or add a $ late fee after the 7 th. Ryan may change, add or remove any rule at any time. No Refunds of any type for competition fees, tuition, uniform, practice wear, camp, music, or any other all star related fees for any reason. If an athlete quits/or is removed at any point in the season the parent must continue to pay tuition for the remainder of the competition year, as well as a $250 re-chorography fee. I agree to pay all tuition, competition fees, and apparel fees that are due for the season as part of being involved with Texas Elite. The use of alcohol/drugs by any athletes is ground for immediate dismissal from the program. Social Media in all forms (twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snap chat) should at all times be tasteful and represent intelligent and well-rounded athletes and not inappropriate or out of line behavior. 9 Participation Release I hereby represent that I am the parent or legal guardian of (the Athlete ). I hereby acknowledge that (I) I am familiar with the physical and otherwise athletic nature of cheerleading and all activities related thereto, including without limitation; jumping tumbling, building of partner stunts and pyramids, dancing and other activities related thereto (collectively, Cheerleading Activities ), and (ii) in connection with the athletes acceptance as a athlete or member of TEXAS ELITE, the Athlete will be participating in Cheerleading Activities during classes, practices, performances and competitions, in a variety of locations, settings and venues. In consideration of the acceptance of the Athlete as a athlete or member of TEXAS ELITE, in my capacity as the parent or legal guardian of the Athlete, I on behalf of myself and the Athlete, hereby consent to the Athlete s participation in the Cheerleading Activities and hereby release and hold harmless TEXAS ELITE its principles, partners, members, managers, employees, officers, contractors, consultants, advisors, volunteers and agents from any and all actions, causes of action, damages, liabilities and claims, relating to or in connection with the Athlete s participation in Cheerleading Activities, including without limitation, actions, causes of action, damages, liabilities and claims relating to bodily injury. I hereby authorize TEXAS ELITE, Personnel to render judgment concerning first aid or other medical assistance with respect to the Athlete in the event the Athlete s injury or illness, during my absence. I hereby represent that the Athlete is in good health and physically able to participate in Cheerleading Activities and that the Athlete is and will continue to be covered by sufficient insurance to cover costs and expenses of injuries the occurrence of which are reasonably foreseeable from the Athlete s participation in Cheerleading Activities. For any calendar month in which the athlete is enrolled as a athlete or member of TEXAS ELITE, I shall pay the tuition and fees required by TEXAS ELITE, in connection with the Athlete s enrollment as a athlete or member of TEXAS ELITE, in accordance with the rules and regulations of TEXAS ELITE, as established from time to time. Each installment of tuition, fees and dues shall be due and payable on the first day of class each calendar month in which the athlete is so enrolled (except in the case of the Athlete s initial enrollment which occurs on a day other that the first day of the month, in which case, such initial installment of tuition and fees shall be due on the day of such initial enrollment). A late fee of the amount of ten dollars shall be due and payable for each installment of tuition or fees not paid by the seventh day of that calendar month.
