2 April 28th Texas State Hip Hop Congress We will travel to San Marcos to Texas State University and meet with other TRIO programs. This is also a RSVP only event so make sure your name is on the list. Everyone who goes gets a shirt and lunch will be provided. *** 40 UB & 20 Rural will be attending*** ***Sign up begins 4/1/2018*** May 5th Team Building, TSI Testing, & ACT Pre-Test ACT for Juniors Juniors, remember ACT is on 4/14/2018, 6/9/2018, & 7/14/2018! Be at your Testing site EARLY! Remember your calculators and pencils. We recommend getting there by 7:30 am. You must have your own transportation for this. (Don t forget to have a photo ID and your ACT ticket. If you didn t register for this session, plan on attending the July 14th test date. The deadline to register is June 15, 2018.
3 What is the difference between the ACT & SAT? The SAT contains three sections: Reading, Math, and Writing and Language. The ACT contains four sections: Reading, Math, English, and Science. Both also have an optional essay. Each section has a different format of the ACT compared to the SAT, but only a few differences really matter. 5 Starting in June, we will begin our six-week summer program. Where we will have classes Mon. Wed. & Thurs., cultural events on Tuesdays, and educational field trips on Fridays. This summer program offers instruction in mathematics, English, laboratory science, foreign language, life management skills, computer science and fine arts. If you are gong to attend please let us know. Also attendance does get you points that will be applied to your summer trip. We will also have our TRiO Tuesdays where we will have the Educational Talent Search (ETS) join in on the fun. Also, if you are reading this contact your UB / UBR director NOW to receive an additional +5 points via Remind 101. We will be playing games, enjoying speakers, and little birdies have said Alamo Draft House, Beeville Pool, & dance are also in the mix. Finally, we have 24 spots available, 15 UB & 9 UBR for our outstanding graduating Seniors (or maybe even some Juniors). Qualifying UB & UBR seniors must turned in there letter of intent as soon as possible. These students will be assisted with the admission and financial aid process, as well as their academic transition to college. In addition, tutoring, counseling, and various other services are offered. Enter your First Name, Last Name and and create a password. It is highly recommended that you use your school -provided address if you have one; however, any valid address will work. Note: You must validate your address before you will be allowed to login to FoundationsDigital. You should get an from FoundationsDigital within 10 minutes. There will be a link in the that you will click on to verify your address and then you can login to the system. Note: If the student does not get an , please make sure they check their spam folder. Once the you click on the link in your confirmation , you will come to the page with a Success message. You can now login with your address and the password you created! When a you first log into FoundationsDigital, you will not be enrolled in any Courses. To enroll in a Course, you simply click on the Join Course button. When you click the Join Course button, you will be presented with a window to enter a Class Code. (What is the Class Code? The Class Code is found in the Teacher Dashboard and must be provided by the teacher. Each Class the teacher creates is assigned a unique Class Code. The teacher must provide the student with the Class Code, and the student enters it on this screen.) Note: All students in a class will enter the same Class Code. Class Code = 95b40b Once you successfully enter a Class Code, you are now enrolled in the Course and the appropriate Course Card will appear on your dashboard. You will simply click on the Course Card to enter the course. When you enter a Course, you will see the Course Modules. You can then click on Start to begin the Module and view content. Once you enter a Module, you will see the content. You can navigate through the material using the Next and Previous buttons. You can also use the Left Navigation to navigate. Note: The content items will ONLY be marked as completed when using the Next button. If they use the left-hand navigation, the content items will NOT be marked as completed.
