2 Fayetteville TNBA BOWLING SENATE (FTBS) TOURNAMENT RULES: 1. This Tournament shall be certified and open to all members who are both USBC and TNBA sanctioned. The tournament shall operate under the RULES of USBC and TNBA. You may be requested to show a photo ID. 2. Non-USBC members may enter the Tournament by paying an unattached membership fee of $21.00 ($10.00 Nation-al, $10.00 Local and $1.00 State). Non-TNBA members may enter by paying a $20.00 membership fee. Bowlers will be required to show proof of both USBC & TNBA membership cards. 3. See current tournament flyer for dates & squad times. 4. This is a team tournament with optional doubles and singles. The bowler s team scores will be used for their doubles/singles scores. Teams may consist of a mixed combination of both male and female with at least one member of the opposite sex. For an additional $10.00 per person a bowler may bowl with additional partners on the same squad. Female bowlers may enter the OPEN Handicap Singles, WOMEN Handicap Singles or SCRATCH (mixed) Singles or all three. Male bowlers may enter the OPEN Handicap Singles, SCRATCH (mixed) Singles or both. 5. All entrants must use their highest USBC season average with a minimum of 21 games (summer average(s) included). If no USBC season average, use highest current USBC certified average based on a minimum of 21-games as of the date of participation in this tournament. Participants must present league-standing sheet to tournament director prior to bowling in this tournament. All others will bowl scratch (220). If your current average based on a minimum of 21 games is ten pins or higher than your USBC season average at time of participation you must use your current average. All winners averages will be VERIFIED before payout. 6. It shall be the Bowler's responsibility to verify the accuracy of his/her average and provide proof of sanctioning. It shall also be the bowler s responsibility to inform the Tournament Director if he/she has been re-rated or adjusted or if he/she has a tournament average that is more than 10 pins above his/her league or season average (summer average(s) included). Failure to use the correct average or inform the tournament directors of being re-rated or average adjustment shall disqualify the score. The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust or re-rate a bowler s average. Unsanctioned scores will be disqualified. There will be no return of entry fee/fees on DISQUALIFICATIONS. 7. Bowlers who have won $ or more in any sanctioned or non-sanctioned tournament in the last 12 months or have been re-rated must report this to a tournament official before bowling. 8. Handicap Ratio: Men and Women 80% of All teams will bowl four games. Total pins with handicap will decide the tournament winners. 10. Current Professional Bowlers regardless of Classification will not be permitted to bowl. Past PBA/PWBA champions, regardless of classification, may be permitted to bowl if their championship was not within the last 10 years. Former PBA/PWBA members who have not held a card for the past two years are eligible to bowl. 11. Teams will consist of five (5) bowlers of mixed gender who have paid a pre-entry fee of $100 per bowler and $500 per team paid in full by the tournament entry deadline. 12. Teams itemized entry fee per bowler: $54 prize fund, $35 expense, $11 lineage. Total $ per bowler. Prize fee will be returned 100%. Team Prize monies will be paid on a ratio of 1:10 after prize is met (at least one place for each ten entries). Guaranteed tournaments that are postponed, cancelled or shortened due to inclement weather, damage to the bowling center or other circumstances beyond the Tournament Director s control will be based on entries. Entrants must pay their entry fee ($ Per Team) before beginning competition. NO CHECKS! 13. Tournament will be divided into two (2) squads labeled as Squad (A) and Squad (B). Each squad will

3 consist of 4 games that will include handicap remaining on the same assigned pair of lanes. After the completion of each squad all scores will be tallied cutting the field to the top 24 teams who will then bowl one game of match play baker format using a team handicap and a team average. The field will cut in half to the top twelve (12) teams for one (1) additional game of match play baker format. The cash line will be the fifth (5 th ) place team who will not continue match play but will cash in the tournament. The remaining four (4) teams will bowl one (1) game of baker using a team average and team handicap. The final two (2) teams will bowl a championship match of baker to determine the first place team. Methods of Payment: Cashier s Check or Money Order made payable to: Fayetteville NC Senate of TNBA. NO PERSONAL CHECKS! Mail entry form including payment to: Teresa B. Marshall, 6513 Portsmouth Drive Fayetteville, NC Doubles itemized entry fee per bowler: $28 prize fund, $7 expenses. Total $35.00 per bowler. Prize fee will be returned 100%. Doubles Prize monies will be paid on a ratio of 1:10 after prize is met (at least one place for each ten entries). Guaranteed tournaments that are postponed, cancelled or shortened due to inclement weather, damage to the bowling center or other circumstances beyond the Tournament Director s control will be based on entries. Entrants must pay their entry fee ($70.00 per Doubles Team) before beginning competition. NO CHECKS! 14. Optional singles prize monies will be paid on a ration of 1:10. Itemized entry fee per bowler: $14.00 prize fund, $1.00 expenses. Total $15.00 per bowler. Entrants must pay their singles entry fee before beginning competition. 15. The Tournament Director reserves the right to reject or re-rate any entrant. The decision of the Tournament Director shall be final on any and all disputes unless an appeal is made in accordance with rule USBC rules 319a, 319b, 319c, 319d and 319e will APPLY. The Tournament Director reserves the right to disqualify any bowler based on professionalism, dishonesty, vandalism, and/or any actions committed by the bowler that are not in compliance with the rules and regulations governed by The National Bowling Association (TNBA) or the United States Bowling Congress (USBC).
