3 Who are Cricket Wales? Cricket Wales is one of 39 Boards that make up the ECB and is also recognised by Sport Wales and Welsh Government as the National Governing Body for cricket in Wales. We exist to lead, inspire and influence the growth, quality and accessibility of cricket in Wales We are made up of many different cricket organisations from across the length and breadth of Wales, all sharing a passion for cricket. We believe in our vision: Cricket thriving in the heart of Welsh communities We feel confident that we can offer the right support and guidance to ensure cricket really does thrive across Wales. We also believe in the people who are involved with Cricket Wales. We are all different, and have great skills, experience and knowledge.

4 Over 250 clubs, leagues and associations involving almost 25,000 people make up Cricket Wales. These include: Cricket Clubs; Senior Leagues; Junior Leagues; Cricket Groundsman s Associations(CGA s); Wales Association of Cricket Officials; Wales Minor Counties; Coaches Associations and Junior Regions. We want to have a vibrant and sustainable network of clubs. Each club is a small community of hard working volunteers & players who are passionate about cricket. 5 Our Core Club Offer 40 Our Core Offer is designed to provide essential access to support, guidance, and opportunities for every club throughout Wales, to help them be the best they can be. By affiliating to Cricket Wales, clubs automatically become part of the ECB.

Insurance Products at discounted rates through Allianz Cornhill via brokers Marshall Wooldridge & Kerry London This provides clubs with comprehensive insurance products tailored specifically for Cricket Clubs. It provides excellent value, and tailor made coverage. Opportunity to register for NatWest Cricket Force NatWest CricketForce is an initiative for cricket clubs encouraging members of the club and local community to get together to get the ground ready for the new season. Natwest CricketForce in action: Newport Fugitives Cricket Club in South East Wales really saw the benefits of NatWest CricketForce last season. CricketForce was a great way to bring our players, members and community together to get our ground ready for the start of the season. Opportunity to apply for England and Wales Cricket Trust (EWCT) Grants & Loans administered by the ECB Opportunity to apply for the Cricket Wales SWALEC Development Fund EWCT Interest free loans & Small Grants Schemes: Many clubs have used the ECB interest free loan and grant schemes to purchase covers. All affiliated clubs are eligible to apply. Opportunity to achieve Community Amateur Sports Club status (CASC) Access to ECB Club Development Tools Access to ECB Best Practice case studies Access to offers from ECB Partners, including SKY TV package deals. Opportunity to attend Cricket Wales Roadshows, Club Workshops, and County Board events The grant scheme process was easy to use from the application through to the receipt of the funds. Free website on Play-Cricket.com Developed in house by the ECB and with a newly updated platform, Play Cricket has one of the best Statistic packages available meaning you can accurately keep track of your Club, teams and players progress. Having an online presence is of growing importance in developing your club. Access to the ECB Safe Hands - Safeguarding Young People in Cricket child welfare policy & related training The significance and importance of a strong, robust welfare structure within Cricket Wales is vital in ensuring that our children can play safely in an environment where they will enjoy cricket and stay within the game. 10 How do I affiliate to Cricket Wales? Club affiliation isn t new. Clubs in Wales have been affiliating to us for many years. As in previous years, clubs playing in Welsh leagues will receive an invoice from their senior league which will include their league subscription (entry fees, balls etc) and your Cricket Wales affiliation payment. Clubs not playing in Welsh leagues will receive an invoice direct from Cricket Wales. Club Welcome Pack Once you have affiliated to us we will send out a Club Welcome Pack. This includes a certificate of affiliation to us, as well as guidance and help on how to access the key ECB & Cricket Wales benefits. We hope the pack is a useful guide and follow up to our affiliation offer. Cricket Wales Club Audit 2015 This Club Offer is open to all cricket clubs based in Wales. Later in the year we will request from all clubs very important information relating to the health of the game as part of our annual Club Audit process.
