2 ANNOUNCER Yu will annunce the lifter s names as it is their turn t make their attempt and any ther annuncements needed. Yu will be in charge f the flw f the meet and t keep the spectatrs engaged. Feel free t cheer fr the lifter and encurage the spectatrs t cheer. The Start f the Meet - If available, a script may be given t yu frm the Meet Directr. - Yu will make any necessary annuncements that may be needed as directed frm the Meet Directr r Officials. - Apprximately 10 mins befre the cmmencement f the Sessin r Meet, yu will be asked t call all the Referees and Sptters/Laders t the platfrm. - Apprximately 7-5 mins befre the cmmencement f the Sessin r Meet, yu will make an annuncement t let the Lifters knw that they will have 5 minutes, r whatever time that is left, t make any changes t their 1 st Attempt. (Lifters will have up t within 3 minutes befre the cmmencement f the event t make any changes t their first attempt) Once that time is up, the Lifter is nt permitted t make any changes. The Timekeeper will have a timer cunting dwn n the cmputer timer. During the Meet - T start the meet, yu will annunce wh will be the first lifter, the weight that is t be laded nt the bar and what the rack height will be. In the event f the Bench Press, yu will annunce the rack and safety heights. This infrmatin is indicated n the Lifter s Screcard which will be arranged fr yu by the Screkeeper s Assistant. (Mst times, the Platfrm Chief will have this infrmatin available t him/her; hwever, t ensure that there are n errrs in wh the next lifter is, it is helpful t annunce this infrmatin as well) - Yu will als annunce which lifters will be lifting next. Eg. The next lifter is. His/her attempt is. Rack height. On deck is ; In the Hle is ; and In the Wings is. (Almst always, a lifting rder will be made available t the lifters in the warm-up rm, but it is imprtant t annunce wh the next 2-3 lifters are) - In the Squat prtin, yu will annunce what the Lifter s squat rack requested height. In sme cases, a Lifter requests that the racks are In. This infrmatin will need t be annunced s the platfrm crew knws t make this adjustment. This infrmatin will be n the Lifter s screcard. - In the Bench Press prtin, yu will annunce what the Lifter s bench rack height and safety rack heights will be. Yu will als need t annunce whether r nt the Lifter has

3 Annuncer Page 2 requested Ft Blcks and what size Ft Blcks they want. This infrmatin will be n the Lifter s screcard. - The Head Referee will indicate t yu the Bar is Laded, and yu will annunce the Bar is Laded fr. At the cmpletin f the lift, yu will annunce whether r nt the Lift is Gd r if it was a N Lift. - Yu will then annunce the next lifter with their attempt and rack heights. - In the event, that the Lifter s attempt is a Prvincial r Natinal recrd, yu will make this annuncement indicating as such. (A Prvincial recrd can be made at any event; a Natinal recrd can nly be set at a Prvincial, Reginal r Natinal event and 3 Natinal level referees must be available) - In the event, that there is mre than ne flight, yu will need t give a warning t the next flight f Lifters f their pprtunity t make any changes t their 1 st Attempts. The Screkeeper s Assistant will indicate n the screcards when the next flight will be starting. There is n break in between each flight. During the 3 rd Attempts, when there apprx. 3-4 lifters left in the Flight, yu will make the annuncement t the next flight that they will have that time t make any changes t their 1st Attempts. - At n time des the meet get stpped at the request f a lifter r cach. The nly time a meet gets stpped is by directin f the Head Referee. - At the end f the each discipline, there will be a break t set up fr the next Lifts. The break times will depend n hw many flights/lifters there are. The Meet Directr r Head Referee will indicate this t yu s yu can annunce this infrmatin t everyne. - In the instance that there is music playing at the same time that the Lifting is prceeding, yu will need t adjust the vlume accrdingly, s that the Lifter can hear the cmmands given by the Head Referee. In the Deadlift prtin, the music can be played a little bit luder. At the Cmpletin f the Meet - At the cmpletin f the meet, yu may be asked t annunce the medal winners and the verall winners. Check with the Meet Directr if this is smething that yu will need t d GENERAL RULES - A lifter may nt change his/her attempt at any time during the cmpetitin except: Any time up t and within the 3 minute warning f the start f the cmpetitin. The weight may be changed either lwer r higher. In the event that there is mre than 1 flight, the 2 nd flight will be given the same time allwance, apprximately 3-4 lifers befre the end f the first flight.

If the lifter fails t d s, the lifter s next attempt will increase by 2.5kg nly. If the lifter s previus attempt was failed, then next attempt will be whatever the failed weight was. - All attempts must be in increments f 2.5kg, unless the attempt is a recrd attempt. In that instance, the attempt can be increased in an increment f 0.5kg.

5 EXPEDITOR Yu will receive all f the attempts frm the Lifters at the cmpletin f their attempt. Once the Lifter has cmpleted their lift, they will have 1 minute frm the time that the Referee Lights are n t hand in their next attempt. Yu will need a timer t keep track. The Lifter s Attempt Card must have his/her name and attempt in kils, legible. If it is nt, cnfirm with the Lifter his name and attempt. The card must als be signed by the Lifter r his/her cach. The Attempt Card is then given t the Screkeeper wh will input that attempt int the scre prgram. If the Lifter des nt submit his attempt within that 1 minute, the Lifter will nt be able t submit the attempt after the fact. There are n exceptins. If the Lifter was successful with the previus lift, he will be given a 2.5kg increase and if the Lifter was unsuccessful with the previus lift, then n increase will be given. In this instance, yu will let the screkeeper knw that n attempt was submitted fr that lifter and the next attempt will either increase by 2.5kg r will be the same. 6 SCOREKEEPER - Open web brwser in Ggle Chrme r Mzilla Firefx and enter events.plmeet.cm as the web address. Sign in Username: t be prvided at day f cmpetitin Passwrd: t be prvided at day f cmpetitin - Select meet accrding t sessin and click submit (there is n passwrd) - Yu shuld be directed t the Setup screen. If nt, select Setup frm the Tabs in the prgram at the tp f the page. - Using the cmpleted screcards, cmplete each lifter s infrmatin: Year f Birth Bdyweight Age Squat Opener Sq RH (Squat Rack Height) Bench Opener BP RH (Bench Press Rack Height) BP Safety (Bench Press Safety Height) Deadlift Opener - Click Save Lifter - Once all f the lifters infrmatin has been inputted, rganize the screcards, by each lifter s first attempts. Frm lwest weight t highest. If there is mre than 1 lifter with the same attempt, the lifter with the lwer Lt Number ges first. - Once the screcards are rganized, the Lifting Order fr the Squats needs t be written ut n t a piece f paper t pst in the warm up area. Yu can just refer t the screcards and hand write the Lifting Order. - If there is mre than ne sessin in Flight, indicate n the Lifting Order as t what flight the lifting rder is referring t, eg. Flight A Squat Lifting Order; Flight B Bench Press Lifting Order, etc. - The screcards will have n it near the tp right crner, which sessin and which flight that lifter is in, eg. S1/A means Sessin 1/Flight A, etc. - In PLMeet, g int the tab Flights/Lts and duble check t make sure that all lifters are in the crrect flights. Click Save Flight. - Once that s dne, yu are ready t Run the Meet.

7 Screkeeper Page 2 Running the Meet - Click n Tab Run the Meet - The prgram autmatically rganizes the lifting rder accrding t the attempts that are entered in. - Once the lifter has cmpleted the lift, yu will either click n the green r red arrw, depending n whether r nt it was a gd lift. - Once yu have dne that, the prgram will autmatically g t the next lifter. - When the previus lifter has submitted in his/her attempt, (the Expeditr will be handing t yu the Lifter s attempt cards), yu can input that int that Lifter s next attempt, by clicking n -. Type the attempt and hit Enter. If yu make a mistake, yu can either back space t crrect, r if yu have left the field, yu can click n CE which is between the green and red arrw. This will clear the field s yu can re-enter the crrect number. - Cntinue fr all lifters as they cmplete each lift and discipline - If yu enter the wrng number, yu can just g back and crrect it. Yu can als crrect the lift if it was inputted incrrectly, eg. The lift was marked as a gd lift and it was actually a n lift, yu can always just click n the crrect arrw. The prgram will autmatically re-adjust the rder accrdingly. - The prgram autmatically saves itself. - At n time des the meet get stpped at the request f a lifter r cach due t a incrrect attempt / mislad. The nly time a meet gets stpped is by directin f the Head Referee. - Once the Squat prtin is dne, yu will need t prepare the Lifting Order fr the Bench Press. Organize the screcards accrding t the 1 st Attempts f the Bench Press. Once that list is written ut, it will need t be put up in the warm up area. After the Bench Press prtin, a Lifting Order will need t be dne fr the Deadlifts. - If a Sessin has mre than ne flight, yu will need t make sure that yu have selected the crrect flight that is lifting. On the Run the Meet page, under the title f the meet n the left side, near the tp f the page, there is a drp dwn menu titled Flight:. This is where yu will select the crrect Flight. Printing the Results - At the cmpletin f the Sessin r meet, yu will need t print ut the results, s that the medals can be handed ut. Make sure the printer has paper and is cnnected t the cmputer. - Click n the tab Results. That screen will autmatically rganize the Divisin by weight class, Equipped/Unequipped, and placing.

8 Screkeeper Page 3 - Right click anywhere n the screen and select Print. - If there are enugh lifters in ne categry, there will be an verall winner. Check with the Meet Directr as t what categry fr verall winners there are. Once that has been determined, review the Wilks scre fr each lifter t see which lifter in each categry has attained the highest Wilks t receive the verall award. Write the name f the verall winner and fr what divisin nt the Results Sheet. - Once cmpleted, the Results Sheet can be given t whever will be giving ut the medals r annuncing the medal recipients. - Click the tab Clse Meet. 9 SCOREKEEPER S ASSISTANT Yu will assist the screkeeper by marking the lifter s next attempts n the screcards and by marking whether r nt the lift was gd r nt. If the lift is n gd, crss that attempt ut with a /. If the lift was gd, either circle the attempt r put a check mark beside it. Any changes t the attempts will be made n the cards. These cards will be used as the back-up if there were any discrepancies that may cme up after r during the event. If the attempt was a recrd, indicate that n the card by putting either PR fr Prvincial Recrd r NR fr Natinal Recrd (if applicable). Yu will als assist the annuncer by rganizing the screcards in the rder f the lifting rder t be annunced. Organize the cards s that it is in the rder f lwest t highest weight. If there is mre than ne lifter with the same attempt, the lifter with the lwer Lt Number will attempt the lift first. During the Meet - The lifter will make the attempt and yu will mark n his/her screcard whether r nt the lift was gd. When the expeditr gives yu that lifter s next attempt, yu will mark that attempt nt the lifter s screcard and then arrange the screcard in the crrect rder fr the annuncer. - Keep the attempt sheets tgether. These will be gathered and kept tgether with all f the ther paperwrk at the end f the Sessin r Meet. - Cntinue fr each lifter and each discipline. - If a sessin has mre than ne flight, the annuncer will need t give ntice t the next flight that they need t start getting ready. Mark the screcard with a paperclip s that it gives warning t the annuncer that the next flight will be cming up. There is n break between each flight. At the end f the first flight, it will cntinue right int the next flight. - In the 3 rd Attempts, yu will als need t let the annuncer knw apprximately when there are 3-4 Lifters left in the first flight, s that he can annunce fr the Lifers in the next flight s they can make any changes t their 1 st attempts. - Once that flight has cmpleted all f the attempts in ne discipline, thse screcards can be set aside until the cmpletin f that discipline. - At the end f each discipline, the screcards will need t be rganized by flights (if applicable) and by weight, s that a Lifting Order can be prepared fr the next lift. - At n time des the meet get stpped at the request f a lifter r cach due t an incrrect attempt / mislad. The nly time a meet gets stpped is by directin f the Head Referee.

The envelpe shuld als include the Results Sheet and Equipment Checklist. 11 TIMEKEEPER Yu will keep track f the time frm when the Lifter has received the Bar is Laded call t when the Lifter is given the cmmand t Start r in the instance f Deadlift, frm when the lifter starts t make his/her attempt. Yur timer will be set up nt a laptp cmputer which will be hked up t TV that will be visible fr the Referees and audience. This TV will be set up under the Referee lights. - When the Annuncer calls Bar is Laded, the Lifter will have 1 minute t step nt the platfrm and receive his/her Start cmmand. If the Lifter des nt receive the cmmand t Start within that 1 minute frm the Head Referee, it will be cnsidered a N Lift and it will be an unsuccessful attempt. - Once the Lifter has received the Start cmmand, yu can stp the timer. - If the timer is at 15 secs r less and the Lifter has nt received the Start cmmand, annunce the time left s that the Lifter and his/her cach is aware. - In sme events, the Head Referee may instruct yu t add a specific amunt nt the timer. This will happen if the Flight is inrdinately small and there is nt enugh time in between each attempt fr the Lifter t get a sufficient amunt f a rest r in the event a Lifter must fllw himself in an attempt due t a mislad r errr. Once that specific amunt f time has passed, the timer will be reset t 1 minute. - Als, in sme instances, the Head Referee may indicate fr yu t reset the clck. - In between each discipline, depending n hw many flights were within that sessin will determine hw much f a break there will be. The Meet Directr r Head Referee will let yu knw s yu can set the timer t cuntdwn the time. - At n time des the meet get stpped at the request f a lifter r cach due t a incrrect attempt / mislad.
