3 Eligibility - Test and Age Pre-requisites Competitors wishing to enter events during the skating season must meet the following test and age prerequisites/deadlines: Test requirements Age requirement Before midnight of the closing date of entries Before July 1 st preceding the competition Any skater entered in an age-restricted category for which they are not age-qualified shall be disqualified and not permitted to change categories after the start of the competition. Entry fees shall not be refunded. There will be a $20 fee charged for failing to submit Planned program by the deadline. Skaters will not be permitted to register at the competition until this fee has been paid and a Planned Program sheet has been submitted 3

Silver Interpretive Couples Gold Interpretive Length of Program At least one skater must have passed the Silver Interpretive singles or couples test, but no higher. May have passed the Gold Interpretive test. Gold Interpretive Men May have passed the Gold Interpretive test. Gold Interpretive Couples At least one skater must have passed the Gold Interpretive singles test. Refunds, Exhibitions and Skating Up REFUND OF ENTRY FEES: Entry fees shall be refunded only if the event is not held or if the entry is withdrawn before the date of closing of entries. (SC Rule (2)). If only one skater is entered in an event, that skater has the option to compete in the next highest event (whenever possible), skate an exhibition or withdraw from the competition. The LOC will contact the skater and the skater will have 48 hrs to convey their decision back to the LOC and this decision shall be final. If an answer is not received, the event will be cancelled. Skaters wishing to skate an exhibition will be charged the regular skating fee. This fee will include feedback from the judging panel via the ISU report card. No medals are awarded for exhibition skates. 6

7 Schedule The schedule of events will be made available on the Skate Canada NB website. Electronic mail will also be the primary method of communication with Skaters and Coaches. Note that the Technical Representative and the LOC reserve the right to cancel events for reasons of logistical constraints. Any such decision will be communicated accordingly to the membership via and/or the Skate Canada NB website. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE Any rules or communications published by Skate Canada or the ISU may have an impact on the announcement. 7
