1 2018 Spring Ice Show Registration The Atlanta FSC is excited to announce details of our annual Spring Ice Show with guest performer Tim Dolensky! This year s theme is Broadway on Ice, so all music must be from a Broadway show. Three performances are scheduled: Friday, April 27 th at 7:00 pm Saturday, April 28 th at 7:00 pm Sunday, April 29 th at 2:00 pm We encourage all eligible members of the Atlanta FSC to participate in the spring show - it s a fun and rewarding skating experience! ELIGIBILITY Eligible members are those who are full, adult, or bridge skating members of the Atlanta FSC in good standing or paid/invited guests. SOLO/FEATURE QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications for a solo or feature are provided on the last page. PERFORMANCE EXPENSES The deadline to register is March 12. The entry fee is $70.00, which includes a costume for one group number, all Club Ice practice sessions, ice rental during the shows, the cast party. and an on-ice dress rehearsal. All skaters will perform in the closing ensemble number as well as in at least one group number. Solo skaters will perform in the opening ensemble number. All cast members will perform in the finale. Soloist costumes will be provided by the skater ; if a soloist elects to also participate in a group number, that costume will be covered by the entry fee. Costumes for feature skaters will be covered by the entry fee. REHEARSAL INFORMATION The majority of group numbers will be taught on Friday night during Club Ice over a six-week period beginning after the Magnolia Open. Coaches may add their own additional sessions as necessary. Attendance at all rehearsals is essential to the success of the show. Practice dates are scheduled during Friday Club Ice from 5:45 6:45 pm as follows: March 16 April 6 March 23 April 13 March 30 April 20 A rehearsal for opening (soloists, features) and finale numbers in costume will be conducted on Sunday, April 15, from 5:30-7:00 pm. Photos for the program will be taken at this time. A mandatory full dress rehearsal will be held on Sunday, April 22, from 9:45 am - 1:45 pm. CAST PARTY A Cast Party will be hosted at the rink after the Sunday performance. TICKET SALES Tickets will be available for purchase during practices and at the door. Please check the Spring Show bulletin board for updates; we will also send an e-blast with more information.

2 COACH ELIGIBILITY All participating coaches must be registered and compliant with U.S. Figure Skating, which includes background screening and proof of liability insurance. PROGRAM ADS A form for program ads is included in this packet. Businesses can advertise their products/service as well as show their support and pride for our skaters. The performers really love to see a note of encouragement in a personal ad from parents, grandparents and friends! The deadline for submission is April 13. There will be designated areas for parents who wish to video record their child s performance. Please do not obstruct the view of other seated spectators by standing in front of or hanging over the plexiglass barriers. In order to comply with local fire safety codes, all aisles within the stands must also be clear. Non-compliance with this policy or refusal to comply immediately with requests from event officials will result in the violator being escorted out of the rink. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES The success of the show will depend on the support of our volunteers, and opportunities abound! Each performance group will need at least one parent Group Coordinator and one Costume parent. We will also need assistance with prop construction, set-up and breakdown, lighting, ticket and program sales, publicity, ushers, backstage chaperones, costume construction, make-up, etc. The more helping hands we have, the better the show we can produce! A volunteer form is included in this packet or you can contact the Show Chair to express your area of interest and expertise. Remember that up to two hours of Spring Ice Show volunteer time can be applied toward your Atlanta FSC service hours, but we hope that you will help because it s fun to be part of such a great endeavor for our children! SHOW TIME! CREDENTIALS Only credentialed Local Organizing Committee members, the Atlanta FSC Board of Directors, participating coaches, and assigned volunteers will be permitted backstage or in the dressing rooms during the performances. PRE-SHOW WARM-UPS Pre-show warm-ups will be available on the blue rink for solo, feature, and invited guest performers.

7 ATLANTA FIGURE SKATING CLUB PERFORMANCE SOLO/FEATURE SELECTION CRITERIA All solos will be limited in time based on free skate level in order to control the length of the show/exhibition while rewarding as many skaters as possible. Soloists may perform in a maximum of two group numbers; group members may perform in a maximum of three groups. All participants must be Atlanta FSC home club members. Guaranteed Solos: These skaters will automatically be awarded a solo due to their high level of achievement (listed in order of priority): * International competitor * U.S. Championships competitor * Eastern Sectionals competitor * South Atlantic Regional Championships qualifying free skate final round medalist (1 st - 4 th ) * South Atlantic Regional Championships non-qualifying final round free skate medalist, Preliminary and above (1 st -4 th ) * U.S. Adult Championships free skate medalist (1 st 4 th ) * National Showcase final round medalist (1 st 4 th ) * National Solo Dance Series Finals final round medalist (1 st 4 th ) * U.S. Collegiate Championships free skate medalist (1 st 4 th ) * Passed one of the following tests (from March 1 of previous year - February 28 of current year) : - Senior free skate test - Gold dance test - Senior pairs test - Senior/Gold (couples) dance test - Adult Gold free skate test Potential Solos/Guaranteed Features: Depending on the number of soloists participating in the guaranteed category, the following skaters may be added for a solo with a specific time length (listed in order of priority.)
