2 ABOUT THE COLONIAL FIGURE SKATING CLUB The Colonial Figure Skating Club, Inc. (Colonial FSC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is an enthusiastic group of over 450 members who are devoted to the advancement of figure skating as an art, and a sport. Established in 1972, the Colonial FSC has grown into one of the largest clubs in the New England area. Colonial FSC is a member of U.S. Figure Skating, the governing body for the sport, which is recognized as such by the U.S. Olympic Committee and the International Skating Union. The club has hosted several major competitions including Regional, Sectional and National Championships for Synchronized Skating, as well as Pairs, Dance, and Men s and Ladies Freestyle. Each year we also host two of the largest competitions in the Northeast - the Colonial Classic and Colonial Open - with the help of club members and the community. THE EVENT Colonial FSC has been selected to host the 2018 Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships, the qualifying event for the 2018 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. In this important Olympic year, skaters from Maine to Florida will compete in the Juvenile through Senior levels, to qualify for a trip to the National Championships in San Jose, CA, where Senior competitors will compete for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team. The event will be held at The Nashoba Valley Olympia, in Boxborough, MA, from November 14-18, Colonial FSC expects to host as many as 350 competitors, their coaches, competition officials, families, friends, and fans! YOUR SPONSORSHIP Sponsor contributions will be used to defray the costs of hosting the event, including ice rental, competitor gift bags, officials transportation, lodging, hospitality, and administrative expenses. Sponsorship will include advertising in the competition welcome packet, official program, and other promotional opportunities.
