Hall spent the day encouraging children to strive to be the best they can be in the classroom as well as at home, showing them that enjoying school can lead to a bright future. In 2007, Hall began the Leon Hall Foundation after he was drafted. The foundation s sole purpose is to help underprivileged children in any way possible. Since 2010, Hall has played a major role assisting the Children s Home of Northern Kentucky for Boys, having taken numerous visits during Christmas time. He takes time to encourage them, and with the help of Toys R Us, he gives away hundreds of toys. Every kid s situation is different, Hall says. But I can relate to them about not being in a secure household. It s a big part of the focus of my foundation. It s how I grew up and what I ve been around my whole life.
