HATCHERY PROGRAM HISTORY Facilities constructed in the 1940s and are operated as mitigation for the construction and operation of Grand Coulee Dam (GCD).

Funded by US Bureau of Reclamation and Bonneville Power Administration Historical intent is to provide a harvestable surplus of salmon and steelhead for Tribal, sport and commercial harvest. Production determined by the US v OR Columbia River Management Agreement

Adult return 7,585 w/ 3,088 harvest, 2,658 excessed. Located at a usual and accustomed area for Tribal Harvest Significant cultural harvest benefits for the Colville and Yakama Tribes. Rearing space for the Yakama Nation Coho reintroduction program.

Average stray rate above TWD has averaged 0.7% (0 3.2%) LNFH spring Chinook strays as part of upper Wenatchee Escapment 0 LNFH strays Upper Wen. SCS Escapement
