There will be all sorts of free activities to improve your cycling skills. It s great fun. Method: Melt the margarine in a large saucepan and remove from the heat. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread evenly in a swiss roll tin or similar but do not press down too firmly. Bake in a moderate oven for about 15 minutes until just starting to brown. Cool in the tin and when almost cold cut into fingers. 6

The highlight of the village year, it provides two days of entertainment and activity for all the family. WHEN DOES IT TAKE PLACE The last full weekend in July, this year on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30 th. WHERE IS IT HELD? The Hall Grounds, Eastgate, Heckington its home since CAN GROWN-UPS TAKE PART? Definitely! A full range of horticulture, cookery, craft art and photography classes are held. Grant, telephone (01529) or visit our website WHAT DOES IT COST? Admission each day is adults and children (5-17) 4.00 on the gate. Single day advance E-Tickets are 9.00 and 3.00 respectively. A full Saturday ticket is needed for entry to the firework concert. Advance weekend badges, including firework concert, are available, price for adults and 5.00 for children. 16 How do I enter? WHAT TO DO Fill in the entry form and return it to Heckington School, Helpringham School, Heckington Pre-School or to 9, Cowgate, Heckington by 7th July with your entry fee. What if I am late? For late entries for the running and cycling, take your form directly to Mrs S Pinchbeck, 9, Cowgate, Heckington by 5.30pm on Wednesday 26th July or to Heckington Village Hall on Wednesday 26th July between 5.30p.m. and 9.00p.m. Sports entries after July 7th will not receive free admission. NO LATE ENTRIES FOR SPORT CAN BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER ON THE DAY. Late entries for the Craft and Design, Art, Photography and Cookery classes can ONLY be made at Heckington Village Hall on Wednesday 26th July between 5.30 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. NO ENTRIES CAN BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS. What do I do to take part? CRAFT AND DESIGN AND COOKERY: Deliver your exhibit to the Showground between 6.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. on Friday 28th July, or between 7.00 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. on Saturday 29th July. PLEASE NOTE EARLIER TIME. The pedestrian and vehicular access from Eastgate will be open at these times. ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY: Deliver your exhibit to the Showground between 6.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. on Friday 28th July. SPORTS: ATHLETICS AND CYCLING RACES: If you enter before July 7th, you will be given an exhibitor s ticket, in advance, to get into the Showground through any gate. Come to the Showground on Saturday morning and be at the Children s Sports Tent near the Grandstand at 9.20 am. with your bike if you are doing Get Set Cycle Skills, 9.50 am. with your bike if you are cycling or am. - if you are running. 16

17 If I win? Prizes for the sports will be given out straight away. Prizes, including trophies, for the Craft and Design, Art, Photography and Cookery will be given out in the Horticulture Marquee between 2.30 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 30th July. A board at the front of the Horticulture Marquee displays who has won the trophies. If you have won, there is a special presentation at 3.30pm in the Concert Marquee. Can I keep my Exhibit Yes, it can be collected between 5.00 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Sunday 30th July.
