17 Annual General Meeting (AGM) Each team must be represented at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) A quorum of 30 members is required. At the AGM: Elect Board Members Review financials Add/delete by-laws Discuss direction and accomplishments Transact any other business necessary Play Up Policy EACH TRAVEL TEAM MUST BE REPRESENTED OR THEY WILL BE FINED $ The YYSC will deduct the fine from the team s tournament fund account. If there is no money in the account the team will be forced to forfeit the remainder of their games until they pay the fine. The Yorktown Youth Soccer Club believes that it is generally preferable that children play within their own age group. This is especially important in the younger years when the Club will implement a comprehensive training program that is both age and developmentally appropriate. Also, the Club believes it is highly desirable for players to interact with their social peers. Therefore, the criteria for playing up are restrictive. The policy is designed more to maximize participation and support team viability rather than individual interests. The director of soccer has the final decision. Registration Procedures Dates and Notification The club registrar sets dates and times of registration. Notification of dates and times are as follows: Club Website to all existing YYSC members Signs around Town Registration typically begins March1st for the following Fall/spring season. Registration is held separately for age groups that only play in the spring (U15 and older (High school age))..
